Juliet's POV

"Psst..Juliet? Are you awake?"

I opened my eyes, and saw that it was Hayes.

"What are you doing here? How'd you even get in here?" I said.

"We're going on a date." Hayes said.

I looked at the time.

"At three A.M?" I rubbed my eyes.

"Get dressed. We're leaving in thirty minutes." He said as he went out of my fire escape. Maybe that's how he got in.

I went to my bathroom, put on gray sweatpants, a random lacrosse shirt, and my maroon vans.

I grabbed my bag which carried my essentials and climbed out the window on to the fire escape.

"Are you ready?" Hayes asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I answered.

We walked down the stairs and we were on the sidewalk. We climbed down the stairs into a car.

"Hey, sleepy head!" Nash said.

"Where are we going?" I closed my eyes.

"We're going to the top of the Empire State Building, then to the Statue of Liberty." Hayes said.

I opened my eyes.

"Here's some coffee. Taylor made it." Nash said as he gave it to me.

"Thank god, I wouldn't be able to stay awake." I joked.

We drove in silence until Nash turned on the radio.

Stay With Me by Sam Smith was on.

I was singing along and after the song was over Hayes was looking at me.

"What..?" I said.

"Nothing." Hayes grinned.

"Do I sing bad?" I said.

"No. Actually, you sing good." He smiled.

I kissed him on the cheek. Nash pulled up to the Empire State Building.

"Have fun you guys." Nash said as he parked his car in the front.

Hayes grabbed my hand, and we walked inside. We went to the elevator, went up to the top floor, walked out and went to the window.

It was a mistake that I looked down.

"Oh my god..." I said, staring back up.

"Are you afraid of heights?" Hayes asked.

"Y-Yeah.." I said.

He cupped his hands on my cheeks and made me face him.

"I didn't know. Just look at me."

I did, and it calmed me down.

"Are you okay?" He asked, and I nodded.

I walked away from the window. I admired him looking at the view below.

I got out my Polaroid, and took a picture of him and the view of the city lights.

"What was that for?" Hayes asked.

"Something for school." I smiled.

We were walking back to the elevator when we saw a flashlight.

"Hey, who's there?"

"Hayes? Are we allowed here?!" I freaked.

The flashlight shined on us.

"You kids aren't allowed in here!"
