PART 18 - A SEVERED RELATION

"THANK YOU MESHO, THANK YOU FOR BREAKING MY ILLUSION OF CONSIDERING THIS FAMILY AS MY OWN"

As everyone turned towards the source of the voice there was  a stunned silence, it was Elena standing there with Golu who was trying to get himself free from the grip of her hand while Elena eyes shot a withering look at Bijoy, she was trying hard not to burst out on her uncle on such an auspicious occasion but then he had said contemptuous words for her son and brother and she could not tolerate it.

"Ele..Tu jaisa soch rahi hai waisa kuch...(Elena, It's nothing like you are thinking)" said Sonakshi but Elena gave her an angry look as she spoke "Sona...Tu kuch naa hi bol toh accha hai. Jab tere Baba yahan khadey hokey mere bete aur Dev bhai ke barey main kadvi baatein bol rahe they tab toh tu chupp khadi thi toh abb kuch bolne ka kya fayda (Sona...Please don't say anything. When your dad was insulting my son and brother you did not say a word, they what's the point of speaking now)" she spoke brusquely as Sonakshi quietened to, Asha was about to speak to her but right at that moment Golu came out of Elena's grip and ran out as she ran out to catch hold of him. Seeing the situation getting out of control Sonakshi along with Saurabh ran out as well, they were hoping that he did not tell anything to Dev lest it would be very difficult for them to face his anger.

Dev was standing outside browsing through the messages of this phone when he saw Golu run out of the Bose house in the other direction as he ran behind him shouting his name "Golu...Golu..." he called him out to stop but the kid just kept running unmindfully. In the mean time Elena came out of the house as well only to see Dev trying to catch her son. But she observed something which Dev hadn't there was a car which was coming in line on the way which Golu was running on as she shouted "Dev Bhai...Gadi..." as the next moment who had seen the car jumped and pulled Golu out of the way just in time as he held him in such a way that the kid is not hurt but in the process he fell down on his left side which aggravated his healing injuries from the accident that he had met with a few days back. Making Golu stand after making sure that he was not hurt Dev got up, but he was withering due to the pain in his left leg and shoulder while there were scratches on his elbow and hand as blood oozed out of the wounds.

By this time everyone from the Bose family except Bijoy had come out only to be shocked at the scene unfolding before them, Elena was holding Golu on one side while Dev was limping because of the pain in his left leg, but Sonakshi had seen something which no else from Bose family had as she screamed "Dev..." and ran towards him surprising the Asha and Saurabh. As she reached Dev she held his left hand which was bleeding due to the scratches "Dev...Tumhey chot lagi hai...Tumharey haath se khoon nikal raha hai (Dev...You are hurt...There's blood oozing out of your hand)" she said in a panicked tone trying to analyse the depth of the wounds but the next moment she was left shocked he jerked his hand away from her.

"Dev...tumhey chot...(Dev, You are hurt)" she said but the next moment he put his right hand up gesturing her to stop talking further as he turned towards Elena as he spoke "Elena, mere gaadi main first-aid box hai. Please mere chot saaf kar de (Elena, the first-aid box is in the car, can you please cleanse my wounds)" he said by now sure that something had happened in the Bose house which made Golu react like that. Sonakshi's heart wrenched at his ignorance, had she become so alien to him that he did not want to take her help. "Dev, let me clean..." she said but was once again interrupted by Dev "Please Dr. Bose, let it be. I can handle my own wounds" he said, though the words said were with respect to the physical wounds he had just suffered Sonakshi felt there was a much more deeper meaning to the words he had said.
