all peter could think about was you, and an assortment of other thoughts that weren't as important to him as you. he wondered what you were doing right now, if you were worrying about him like he was about you.
and then there was that thought. the thought about what could happen if they didn't rid the Infinity Stones out of the wrong hands in time. surely, everyone was wondering about the future, but his was filled with panic and worry. he'd never let anyone know, though.
peter couldn't bear to lose you, his friends, or his aunt. it wasn't something he ever wanted to go though, so he pledged to do whatever it takes to protect the most important people in his life.
as soon as his foot stepped back down onto to earth, he planned to not waste anymore time and admit his feelings for you. it wasn't a hesitation at this point.
❝maybe I should, like, ask y/n out with a whole bunch of flowers?❞ peter whispered to himself, staring at the small specks of dust floating around his feet.
maybe he spoke a little too loud for only himself to hear, considering tony had spoken up from beside him. ❝one, that seems like a lame idea. two, we're in space and all you can think about is how to ask someone out?❞
