Peter knew something was happening as soon as you created the excuse of dropping a pen on the school bus' floor. More importantly, he got worried when you never resurfaced from the floor and when he noticed the back door of the bus slightly creak open in standstill traffic.
He watched out of the window, looking for any evidence of you leaving the safety of the bus to investigate the donut circling the sky.
To his dismay, there you were, running down the sidewalk towards the tower, where it housed your own suit. Peter's heart dropped, immediately begging Ned to make a distraction so Peter could follow you and persuade you to stay back.
He slipped out of the open window, quickly making his way over to you.
"y/n! You can't go up there!" He yelled, pulling you into an empty alleyway and taking off his mask.
"Then come with me! You know I can't let my dad go up there all alone. Don't tell me he's not because you and I both know he is." You pointed out. A small part of you was afraid. Something felt off.
Peter took a deep breath before nodding, agreeing to going up and investigating the spaceship with you.
