I woke up to extreme tickling.

I screeched and Simon and Ash pounced up onto Jason who was running his fingers along my sides.

I kicked at him until I hit a spot I shouldn't have.

He groaned in pain and I instantly started apologizing up and down.

He laughed.

"It's okay. It was only an accident and it was one way of saying, 'Stop Jason, we're going to be late for work'." he smiled.

I glanced at the clock.

"Holy molly! You're right. I've gotta get up!" I shouted.

I took a quick shower and got dressed and we were off.

When I got out behind the bar I noticed that Simon was at the end of the bar, glaring at a beer bottle like usual.

I smiled.

I wondered if he ever got bored.

Talk about patience and resisting sins.

Hold on a moment. He won't have as much resistance as the other time.

With that in mind I shot forward and grabbed the glass from him.

He looked up.

"Hey! Rach!" he cried.

"Nope. With you turning fallen we can't risk you falling under the sin of Gluttony too." I reminded him.

He sighed.

"I hate how you're right."

I handed him a coke instead.

"Thanks." he said.

"That will be 2. 18." I said.

He rolled his eyes and handed me a five.

"Keep the change." he smiled.

I glanced at him.

"Where have you gotten the money for all these drinks?" I asked.

He opened his mouth to say something, but one of the other bartenders called me over so I could help her mix drinks.

"We'll talk later while I'm on my break." I said.

He nodded.

Turned out Ash and a few of his friends, hopefully not demons, had showed up and had ordered a whole bunch of booze.

Within the hour they were all drunk and Ash was blabbing about something to a blonde in a little red dress.

I rolled my eyes and turned to where Simon was supposed to be.

When he wasn't there I looked around panicked. I hoped he didn't get caught up with one of Ash's buddies and took a swig of something.

I saw him talking to a girl at a table.

He had a coke, thankfully.

I felt jealous of the girl suddenly.

Who was she? Why was she with him? Was Simon trying to pick up a girl? With the way he looked at her it seemed like he knew her and he was trying to explain something.

Was she an old lover? She looked too young. Unless she was an angel too.

Suddenly she shot forward and punched him in the face.

I jumped forward, toward her.

Not only did I want to protect him, but if he lost his temper it would be harder to turn him back.

I grabbed her arm just as she was about to swing again.

She ended up hitting me in shoulder.

Simon growled.

He shot up and was about to attack the woman, but I stopped him. I put my hands on his chest and told him to calm down.

Simon continued to stare at the woman with fury in his eyes.

"Calm down." I told him, before turning to the woman.

"Who are you?" I asked.

She narrowed her eyes.

"Who are you?" she asked, putting emphasis on the 'you'.

"I asked you first." I snapped.

Simon put his hand on my shoulder.

"This is Rachel. She's my Custos." he said.

The woman growled.

"Fallen can't have a Custos." she said.

"I bonded with her while I was still angel." he said.

She crossed he arms.

"I know what you're doing. You did it to my mother. I'm not going to let you do it again." she said.

I looked at her confused.

"What is happening?" I asked.

They ignored me.

"I promise I'm not going to do anything to Rachel. She's helping me with... my issue." he said.

"You have sinned. You did it knowingly. It is not an issue. Now you are paying the price and becoming fallen. You will sin again. I know it. The fates decided not to make you fallen last time, but your luck has run out." she sneered.

Simon was about to snap something at her, but I cut him off.

"Okay, what the heck is going on? Who is this Simon? And what is she talking about?" I asked.

Simon sighed.

"Rachel, this is Vanessa. She's my daughter."
