jimin could sense the smile on jangmi's face even though he couldn't see it. he ran his fingers through her hair, watching the sunset with her. they sat on a soft blanket up on a cliff. pressing a kiss to her bare shoulder, he nuzzled her neck.

"did you like the food?" he whispered. "yes, i still think you're lying about cooking it though." she answered with a teasing smile. "i did! jin hyung put me through." he whined, pouting slightly. a melodic laugh left her lips. his lips pressed to her jaw softly, moving up under her ear.

her eyes fluttered shut at the contact, a small smile on her face. "thanks for taking me to see my parents." she mumbled softly. "thank you for letting me be the shoulder you can cry on." his lips moved down, smiling against her skin when he heard her breath hitch just the slightest bit. he pressed the soft plump flesh to the base of her neck and then her collarbone.

"i have a gift for you." he whispered against her neck, his breath tickling her skin. "what might that be?" her voice was playful, head tilting down to get a glimpse of him. detaching his lips from her neck, his eyes crinkled into crescents of happiness, gaze meeting hers.

he turned around, reaching into the wicker basket that once held their meal. he pulled out a small box wrapped in red wrapping paper. beaming like an excited child, he held it out to her.

lips curving upward at the endearing expression on his face, jangmi took the box out of his hands. she carefully took apart the wrapping paper, taking the lid off slowly. the smile she wore grew into a wide grin. laughter erupted from her belly as she reached in and carefully brought out the contents of the box.

"i told you i could make one just as good as yours." he whispered smugly, a proud grin on his face. "so you really kept that in mind all this while." her eyes raked over the quaint little popsicle house sitting on her palms. "mhm," his head bobbed in a nod. "check inside." he nudged his chin.

slipping a finger into the tiny door, she felt something cool. she hooked her finger around it, pulling it out. her eyes widened, gasp leaving her lips. a silver bracelet dangled from her finger. "jimin," her surprised gaze met his. he smiled shyly. "is this—?" she didn't finish the question, carefully placing the popsicle house back in the box.

"not exactly. that's a copy." he reached into the pocket of his ripped jeans. "this is the same bracelet." he held up a silver bracelet identical to the one she had in her palm.

quietly, he took it from her open palm. gently taking her hand, he unclasped the bracelet and wrapped it around her wrist. clasping it back in place, he smiled and slipped his on as well.

her eyes shifted from the jewellery to his eyes. "i can't believe you kept that for six years." her voice was barely audible. she gingerly reached for it, drawing back at the last minute. almost as though it was emitting an unbearable heat.

"well, actually, i kind of tossed it in anger when i found out you were gone. when i woke up in the morning, i panicked and went searching for it in the trash but i couldn't find it. i went back to my room to find it on my bedside table. bora put it there. i've had it since then." he confessed, cheeks flushing, reminding jangmi of fresh peaches.

knowing how he would react, she remained quiet for a long minute, just staring at him. his features morphed into worry, bottom lip jutting out just the tiniest bit. "are you mad?" he asked softly. no response, only a blank stare. "jangmi, i'm sorry. i was really frustrated and angry and you know i don't think straight when i'm mad. i went back for—"

he was cut off by her amused laughter, ringing from melodic to devious. he frowned, realising she had only been teasing him. "that's not funny, mimi." he whined.

she didn't stop laughing, not deterred by the annoyed look on his face. she reached over, throwing her arms around his neck. he fell backwards, back hitting the warm blanket with a soft thud accompanied by a grunt.

peppering kisses all over his still slightly reddened face, she continued to giggle. "you're so cute, jimbub." she chuckled before pressing a kiss to his lips. before she could completely pull away, he leaned up, recapturing her lips with his.

her eyes fluttered shut, lips moving slowly against his. warm, sweet and woodsy like the red wine they had been drinking earlier. in one smooth move, he flipped them over, now hovering over her. he kissed her slow and sweet, with a hint of desperation. his fingers trailed over her body, teasing lightly. her hands raked through his hair, mussing it up.

he pulled away, eyes opening slowly to stare at her dazed expression. both their chests heaving with heavy breaths. a satisfied smile found its way to his face. "i have a surprise for you." he whispered when she finally looked back up at him. he watched as confusion danced across her face. "there's more?"

jimin chuckled softly, pushing himself up. "c'mon," he held out a hand to her. a warm smile graced her lips as she placed her small hand in his warm one. packing up quickly, they hurried to the car, giggling like they were teenagers again.
