SCENE VIII INT. DINER - NIGHT
We pan over the outside of the THE ELECTRIC LEMON to see Jonas and Maggie sharing a STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE and FRIES, sitting at the retro diner with red vinyl seats and silver detailing. Soft teal walls drape around the couple, they are chatting away asking questions and dipping the fries in the milkshake.
The scene dissolves into a montage, they share various looks at each other, laughter, frustration, they even get into a small argument at a moment, but keep it light hearted. Maggie at one point takes a fry covered in milkshake and attempts to toss it into Jonas’ mouth, missing miserably and failing. We see them bonding slowly, but by the end of the night they both have that ‘fallen’ look.
