I sighed, resting my cheek on my palm. ' Nothing interesting is happening today at the guild,' I thought in my mind.
Then suddenly...the guild doors burst open. "What did you say, Ice Freak?!" a familiar voice yelled.
"Wow, Flame Brain, you're too stupid to understand what I'm saying!" another familiar voice yelled back.
I smiled. 'Finally,' I mentally said, 'some action.'
Insults flew across the room. Soon, punches, kicks and bodies did. I leaned my back against a wall, watching the others fight. "Go Natsu!" I cheered for the pink-haired male. He replied by giving me a bright smile and a thumbs up. I smiled back - but my smile soon faded. I let out a squeal, shut my eyes and covered my head with my arms - waiting for a table to slam into my fragile body. 'Dang it! Why'd I have to be landed on by a monster 3 days ago?!' I thought.
A few seconds passed. The impact never came. I slowly opened my eyes to see what happened. Natsu had his arms around my waist and the table was on the floor. My face heated up. "Don't worry, (Y/N), I'll protect you. That's what a good best friend does," Natsu whispered in my ear. My face heated up more. "Th-Thanks, N-Natsu. You can l-let go n-now," I stuttered out.'Why am I blushing and stuttering?' I asked myself mentally, 'He's my best friend, no need to be shy.' He sighed and unwrapped his arms. He walked away while rubbing his neck. Gray came up to him and started whispering stuff. 'I wonder what they're talking about,' I thought.
After a while, a new fight was started. I was leaning against the same wall. Lu-chan came and leaned on the wall. "So," Lu-chan said, nudging me, "you and Natsu, eh?" A blush crept onto my cheeks. "N-No, Lu-chan! Th-That's false! I-It's not true!" I stammered, moving my arms into and 'x'.
"Hmm, sure (Y/N). Believe what you want, but the rest of the guild and I - excluding Natsu - think that you and Natsu would be perfect together!" Lucy squealed.
"N-No! W-We're just best fr-friends! I don't l-like him!"
"Your blush says differently, (Y/N)," she said, poking my cheek.
"LIES!" I screamed and fast walked to the bar, hiding my cheeks with my hands.
