Shizuka's last moments of life were painfilled. Her body aching for an escape as her life giving liquid was wasted upon the ground beneath her. Her hands outstretched before her trying to deflect the hatefilled blows of Shinimi. Her elder sister, ehos eyes never once held love for her. Yet within those crimson orbs were flooded with nothing but bloodlust. Which swelled within Shinimi since the day Shizuka drew breath into this world. That day something was taken from Shinimi, snatched from her and given to someone she believed was never worthy. But now that ever aching thirst was fulfilled. Her hands covered in Shizuka's blood while laughing maniacally. Holding something Shizuka held precious to her, her son. And through tears Shizuka withstood the pain of losing a child and the life of her own. Her tears mixing with her own blood as her vision soon became nothing. A pitch black void in thr never-ending darkness, one that Shizuka soon greeted as she soon could no longer feel her body. And now she felt as if she were floating leaving her flesh and returning about to where her soul belonged. Her true home. The very Celestial Realm itself.

Where her divine blood began to flow within the current of the river. Giving life to that which was void of life and vegetation, yet even with the afterlife calling her to its clutches. Shizuka refused. She simply could not leave, not without seeing them. One more time. It was with these thoughts that willed Shizuka's very soul to linger within the halls of the villa. Ever so watchful, wishing to hold the children she had yet to truly meet. And return to ths strong arms of Sesshomaru. These simpy desires allowed Shizuka to remain in the realm, but now it was time. Time for her soul to finally be set free of the chains she had allowed to bind it. For these chains were infact heavy but they were weights Shizuka was willing to brave. She would do anything for them, even in death.

One moment Shizuka was floating in the dark void, unable to feel anything. Her body, pain, anything. All that mattered was the void which neverended, yet Shizuka saw something within the darkness, something she had never believed she would ever gaze upon. Light. A light that spread across the black void like a wild fire turning what was once nothing but pitch black darkness into a vast field. Littered with hundreds upon hundreds of snow white lilies which danced upon the current of gentle winds. Winds that allows petals of the lilies to dance in the skies themselves.

It was then that Shizuka found herself among the flowers gazing upon their gentle beauty. Missing the flowers in the garden Sesshomaru had prepared for her. She missed the smell, the feel of the grass beneath her feet. The warmth of the sun on her skin. The laughter of Rin as she mocked Jaken about his height. But that wasnt all. What Shizuka missed most of all was him. That strong presence he gave off, that made Shizuka feel at peace. Invincible. His touch, once harsh yet as day passed had become those filled with love. With compassion, lust. Emotions that he shyed from, yet she welcomed them. She missed him, longed to be in his arms. To be merely by his side for only a moment was something Shizuka would give up breath to see done.

Blinking away her own silent tears, Shizuka wiped them away holding back sobs that deserved to be released. She cried for her own selfish desires, ones that brought her to her untimely end. But Shizuka did not fesr it, nor did she curse it. For she knew her selfish wish would never be granted. That Shizuka would never run her fingers through those silver locks again, massage his scalp all the while mindlessly whispering words of love and wonder into his ear.

But she knew those timss had passed yet Shizuka clinged to them. Moments with him that the two would steal away. Sometimes if only to gazs upon one another. Or gather for simple conversation. Conversation that would turn into one filled with lust. And soon they would indulge themselves upon flesh and those nights where theirs guards were down. Moments where Sesshomaru and Shizuka were no longer Yokai and Celestial Being. No they were simply lovers, turned mates at a moments turn. And with one another the two could truly be themselves. Man and woman whom loved one another and cherished their time with one another.

Though Shizuka knew their time together was brief, it was a sweet one. And memories that Shizuka would forever treasure in this world and the next. With these thoughts distracting her Shizuka did not realize the sudden appearance in the fields. The man turned to see the lovely vision before him sobbing in the flowery breeze. Yet even so she never looked more beautiful in his eyes. Clad in all white robes Shizuka continued to sob only to cease get tears upon hearing his voice. " I always detest when you cry. It does not suit you." His words startling the maiden who's body immediately stiffened upon his words. Unable to believe her eyes Shizuka turned to meet the amber gaze she had longed to meet once again.

Golden orbs that always seemed to swallow Shizuka whole. Unveiling her and turning her into nothing but a simple woman who was in love. Unable to take her eyes off of him Shizuka coveted her mouth choking on her sobs. "F-Forgive me I am...I am just so-!" Shizuka choked out as Sesshomaru quickly closed the distance between them, he then wrapped his arms around his beloved. Once again able to feel the warmth of her skin up on his own, and the smell of her hair. As he always did the gentle lord ran his fingers through Shizuka's raven locks relishing the routine. For he had missed her more than she could ever imagine. To the point that Sesshomaru struggled to hold back his own tears of joy. After finally being able to hold his mate once again.

"Its alright, I know." Sesshomaru began as he nuzzled his face into the crook of Shizuka's neck. "I've missed you,Shizuka." Sesshomaru whispered causing Shizuka to tremble as she wrapped her arms around her lover. Wishing nothing more than to share this moment with him as long as permitted. "And I've missed you, my love." Shizuka breathed, for the first time admitting aloud in such a long time what he was to her. He was no yokai. She was his. And he was hers. Sesshomaru couldn't help but to crack a smile as he held onto his beloved knowing she would soon return to the realm of man with him.

"Your time has not come to an end, return with me. Please Shizuka." Sesshomaru beckoned his words triggering something within Shizuka. A spark. A desire to live. To return to Sesshomaru's side once more and take breath. Peering towards him Shizuka watched as he held the now glimmering blade of Tenseiga. Who's brilliant light seemed to be calling out to Shizuka, the blade itself crying to make the Maiden whole once more. "Do it." Shizuka whispered as she closed her eyes preparing to feel the cold steel of the blade run through her.

But she did not. Instead she watched as the blade simply ran right through her very body. Causing her to jerk forward as she fell into Sesshomaru's arms whom welcomed her. " Return to me" He whispered as a brilliant light flooded from within Shizuka. Bathing the area in a silver glow, wiping the lands clean of any darkness. The darkness that oncd kept Shizuka at bay had disappeared, and the light which stood before her she anxiously grasped it. Clung to it. And soon that light brightened even more allowing Shizuka to open her eyes and gazs upon the world around her. And take her first breath.
