After yesterday's emotional moment with Sesshomaru, Shizuka believed it would be in both her best interest and his own to keep her distance. As much as she wished to be by Lord Sesshomaru's side. Shizuka also knew of the dangers that were surely to come with their sudden union. Union. A word that Shizuka tried her very best to stay away from. Since that steamy night Shizuka was marked by Sesshomaru himself. Why? In order to become his mate. For he had already chosen his woman. The woman who would bear his pups. A woman of not just exstrodinary beauty but strength as well. And that woman was infact Shizuka. Yet as big of an honor as it maybe,Shizuka was not in the best spirits as of late. Staying away from Sesshomaru was easier said than done.

Gripping onto her chest Shizuka slumped to her knees, allowing all her negative emotions to wash over her. For she had been keeping such a strong face, but she could not take it anymore. No matter how strong Shizuka was she infact a woman. A woman with emotions that threatened to overcome her if not addressed correctly. But that was just something Shizuka could not afford to risk. So until she could control her budding emotions Shizuka would remain in her room till further notice. She knew Sesshomaru would absolutely be against her wishes but it was for their sake. If she could push her feelings at bay then Sesshomaru would have nothing to fear. He could continue with his ambitions and conquer the land until he was indeed the all powerful Daiyokai. He could do all this if Shizuka controlled herself.

Taking a deep breathe Shizuka steadied her rapidly beating heart. She could not allow this feeling to control her. For she was a Celestial Maiden. One who's power is derived from the Moon and prayers of Man. If even for a second she dared to second guess her purpose then surely she would be no more. And that was something Shizuka refused to happen. She would not leave this world without aiding him. She would not leave Rin behind for she loved her like a daughter. It was not her time to fall and never would it be as long as the faith and prayers of man sustained her.

In order for Shizuka to remain in the world of man she had to be selfless. She had to force these budding emotions at bay. And once again returned to her original duties. Which dealt with answering the thousands and thousands of prayers from man. To one day returning to her home. Home. A place which lay hidden from anyone without the Divine eyes. The home of the Celestials. Shizuka's home. Where her kind hearted mother ruled over others of their kind. A place where the responsibilities of countless lives were thrust upon Shizuka before her sudden decent. But even so she was quite homesick. Though Shizuka knew she was not in prime shape to return home. Yet even if she did return home would she be welcomed? Or would the dark cloud of jealousy once again make it's way known to her?

Shaking these thoughts from her mind,Shizuka decided she should get some fresh air. Venturing into the lush gardens of the palace, upon entering the lush greenery the ground at her very feet began to give off a vibrant silver hue. Smiling lightly Shizuka continued to roam the beautiful gardens. Oh how the warmth of the gentle sun seemed to cause all of Shizuka's cares to go away. Almost as if they truly never existed. Yet the deeper Shizuka went the more she felt as if something was off. Peering up towards the beaming sun above searching for the source of these sudden emotions. But finding nothing Shizuka returned to the castle by the time the moon was high in the sky.

'I was gone this long? I should go check on Rin.'Shizuka thought to herself, her strong motherly instincts kicking in when it came to Rin. She couldn't help but to smile at the thought of sweet little Rin who seemed to always make her heart melt at the smallest thing. It was one of the reasons why Shizuka couldn't bear to leave this place. She couldn't leave Rin. And she knew she couldn't take her home with her. Only Celestial Beings are allowed to exsist on the Moon. If a human we're to even attempt to stay there, their very soul would be spirited away. For Shizuka had witnessed it once before. But it wasn't just that. She also knew how attached Rin was to Him and she couldn't even fathom the act of taking the already traumatized child from him.

Rin would have to remain here, safe but with him and Shizuka. And until her very existence was erased Shizuka swore to herself she would remain by Rin's side. Quietly Shizuka made her way upstairs to sweet Rin's room. Who lay nestled between bright pink blankets. Shizuka smiled warmly towards the slumbering child before planting a gentle kiss on Rin's head. Causing the sleeping child to smile in her sleep. "O-Okasan..."Rin muttered lowly before turning on her side. Shizuka then brought the sleeping child in her arms, while cradling her ever so gently in her arms. "I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere."Shizuka whispered into the night air. She wasn't too sure anyone else had heard her. But it was more of a solem vow to herself. She would remain by Rin's side as hopefully a mother. And until the day she could stand on her own two feet and take on the world. Rin would always have Shizuka to lean on. Now and forever.
