Aaron came over, picked me up sideways, and twirled me.

"Aaron put me down!" I squealed.

"You cheated! I know it!" He laughed as he kept spinning me.

"No I did not! Now put me down!" I laughed as he did as I said.

"I want a rematch." Jack J pouted.

"No way. You're such a sore loser." I laughed as I headed towards the kitchen.

"Aaron! Do you have any food?" I yelled, as I opened the fridge.

"Check in the pantry." Someone said behind me. I turned around.

"Oh my god, you scared me." I sighed as I playfully punch Jack G.

"Do you want anything from the pantry?" He said as he started walking towards it.

"I guess if there's anything good." I said as I went to sit back down in the living room.

Jack G brought back a bowl of chips.

I checked my phone. I had a missed call.

It was from Hayes.

"Hey guys excuse me for a second." I said as I went to the kitchen.

"What?" I redialed his number.

"Hey Julie." I heard him crack a smile.

"Don't call me that." I rolled my eyes.

"So I was thinking, maybe we could hang out later?" He asked.

"I can't. I'm kinda busy, Hayes." I said.

"Oh okay, well maybe we could hang out sometime?" He asked.

"Yeah. I'd like that." I smiled.

"Come over tonight." He said.

"Okay." I answered and hung up.

I went back over and sat down.

"Who was that?" Jack G asked.

"It's just Hayes." I sighed.

"This Hayes guy seems like trouble." Jack J said.

"Don't worry, he is." I laughed.

"Then why hang out with him?" Jack G asked.

"He's just different around me." I said.

"Are you guys dating?"

"No...um...well it's complicated." I said.

"Then I don't think you should waste your time with him. I mean, why would you care about someone who isn't trying to care about you back?" Jack G said.

He was right.

"But...I really...I don't know how I feel about him." I said.

"Jul, if there was one thing I've learned from hanging out with you, it's that if you like someone you either stare at them non-stop, or you don't stop talking about them." Aaron laughed.

"Aaron, the only reason I'm not dating Hayes is because of you." I said.

"What? I thought our break up was mutual." Aaron said.

"Hayes has no idea how to handle a relationship like we had." I said.

"So are you saying you want to go out again?" He asked.

"Can we start over?" I asked.

"Of course." Aaron said as he got up from his seat and stood in front of me.

"Can I sit here?" He said as he pointed at the empty spot next to me.

"Sure." I smiled, remembering the first time we met. It was at lunch and he had no where to sit.

"I'm Aaron." He returned the smile.

"I'm Juliet."

///

We ended up playing another round of Call of Duty.

I secretly took a photo of them playing for my photography project.

Jack G won this time.

"OH JULIET! I WON AND YOU LOST!" He cheered and danced.

"Don't be such a downer." I pouted as I took another photo of Jack G dancing. I laughed.

"You look cute when you pout." Aaron smiled as he kissed my cheek.

"Ew, okay, either stop the cuteness or get a room." Jack J laughed.

"Hey what was the photo for?" Jack G asked.

"A photography project." I explained.

It was already three o'clock.

"Could we get coffee or something? You guys I'm tired of sitting here." I stretched my arms.

"Yeah! Let's go to the small coffee shop around the corner." Aaron offered.

Aaron grabbed his house key, the rest of us grabbed our coats and we walked to the coffee shop. It was called, "The Coffee Corner." It was also a book shop. It was one of my favorite places to go to.

We walked inside and the air was filled with ground coffee.

I loved that smell, just saying.

We all ordered our drinks and we sat down at a booth.

"I can't believe it's October." I said.

"I know. It's like the year has flown by so quickly." Jack J said.

"Any plans for the new year?" I asked.

"We're seniors. So we're starting collage soon." Jack G said.

"Oh wow you guys are old." I laughed.

The coffee was delivered to our table.

I sipped my iced caramel coffee.

"That's not nice." Both Jacks laughed.

"Juliet?" Someone stood by our table.

I looked up. It was Hayes.

"Oh hey Hayes." I smiled.

"Can we talk?" He asked.

We walked away from the booth.

"Are you with Aaron?" He asked.

"Well yeah, why?" I asked.

"Nothing. I hope you guys are happy. I'll see you tonight." He said as he walked out.

That was weird.
