I Have To Go (Chapter 20)

You stopped in your tracks and turned around to face the intrigued man, "Ah well, I lost it again!" you lied. "The Hokage let me go on this mission anyway." You nervously laughed scratching the back of your neck.

"Oh really, the Hokage never told us he had someone going on a mission this late at night," Kotetsu said beginning to get suspicious.

"Oh he didn't," You hesitated. "Well this mission is top secret, maybe that's why he didn't tell you." You suggested walking back slowly. "I have to go guys."

Before you could turn around to run, you hit something that felt like metal. Rubbing the back of your head from the pain, you turned around to see what you hit. To your surprise, there was an Anbu member standing there.

"Sorry (Y/n)," A familiar voice started, taking off his Anbu mask. "I didn't mean for you to get hurt."

Damnit, it's him

"Oh it's okay Tenzo I'm not hurt," You smiled waving your hands in front of yourself. "It was just a little bump, that's all~"

"Kill him now! He will just get in our way!"

The voice in your head continued to repeatedly scream the word 'kill'. You fought back as hard as you could from the thought taking over your body; the urge to kill everything in your site was unresistible. The temptation continued for a bit until disappearing.

"Anyway, where are you going?" Tenzo asked looking down at you. "A mission for the Hokage..." You answered sternly. "I should really be going now!" You suggested. Tenzo gave you a confused look, you both were on the same team so why would you be going on a mission alone?

"She's lying!" A voice called out from the distance. "She's not going on a mission, she is going to..." the voice hesitated, scared to say the next word.

You squinted your eyes, trying to see where the voice was coming from. After scanning the area, you caught a glimpse of bright red hair; it could only be one person.

"Esper! What are you doing?!" You said unsteadily, you knew once she said that name you would be-

"Where are you really going (y/n)?!" Tenzo asked quickly. "Don't tell me you are going there..."

Your heart was racing, you didn't know what to do. Pivoting your feet, your body started moving on its own, running. Leaving the bright green gates of Konoha, only seeing darkness you could hear several footsteps behind you. Kunai began to fly right past you, one after another.

BOOM BOOM BOOM

Three paper bombs went off in front of you causing the surrounding area to explode. Nearby trees began to catch on fire and the ground caved in. You stopped running, not wanting to fall into the hole. Quickly turning around you dodged a wood-style attack running up a tree that seemed to still be intact. Before you could reach the top of the tree, another wood-style attack hit you in the back making you fall off the tree; your back harshly hitting the ground.

"I don't want to fight you (Y/n), so please just surrender!" Tenzo stated, launching his next attack. You rolled across the rough ground dodging the attack once again.

"Tenzo you don't understand! I have to do this!" Getting off the ground, you ran to a nearby tree that wasn't in flames. "I don't want to fight you either... Just let me go please!" Not listening to you, Tenzo tried to hit you with another attack.

"Let me take over, I'll kill him for you~"

Pulling out kunai from the pouch on your leg, you threw them at Tenzo; he dodged them.
