Chapter 14 : Zones & Islamophobes
Having admirable thoughts regarding someone you like is completely normal. As long as you don't go overboard, which promotes the person from a liked person to a loved person.
Take me, for example, I always have certain thoughts when I'm around a certain someone that we're both familiar with: Sarah Saleh.
Certain Thoughts as in:
1: aw she's such a great person
2: why are her eyes so green? That's just...rare
3: cute. Cute. CUTE.
Yup. Totally normal thoughts.
Today though, my stupid, pretty little head decided to change my choice of words to....
4 : Jesus Christ... she's GORGEOUS...
Which is definitely not normal.
Like, at all.
Having normal thoughts leads to saying not so normal stuff , so what I said was expected.
"Hey Sarah! Why are your eyes so green?" I asked dumbly.
"Because God created them that way." She answered in a low, monotone voice without even raising her head.
Jesus, life was so intent on annoying the willpower out of me.
I mean, It's not like I was being friend-zoned, Or brother-zoned .... Or anything-zoned for that matter.
I wished I was at least zoned somewhere. It was as if she was intent on keeping me in the I-Don't-know-you-we-work-together-that's-all ....
I sighed, for like the fifth time in less than an hour.

The following scene will probably sound quite familiar; don't be surprised if you get a deja Vu sensation!
I was using my short break to fill my stomach with stuff - delicious stuff - and watch some random videos on YouTube.
Now I was watching a totally random video about famous interior designers when the video in the next-up caught my eye.
Its title went something along "I'm a Muslim, but I'm not a....." .
It was just a harmless short video so why not watch it?
So I watched it. Random Muslims saying random stuff and all in all, it was nice.
Until I came across the comment section which , needles to say, was filled with hateful comments.
Some user called +killer7661 wrote a comment stating that "pffffffttt...! Them Muslims be running around acting all innocent and peaceful when all they want is to run around cutting people's heads like their Quran tells them to and yelling Allahakbar...!! Go kid someone else. Trash like you doesn't belong in America or Europe or anywhere for that matter And this is why we need Trump...#makeamericagreatagain..."
Disgust filled me as I read that.
What a username, eh?
People were convinced that Islam is the enemy, including Trump, in certain occasions. Although my opinion of him is quite neutral; anybody that the media crucifies like they're doing him must be doing something right.
And Muslim were certainly not the enemy. However, the media needs a scapegoat as usual and in many instances it so happens to be Muslims.
