The Sight

The song used in this chapter is Collide by Breathe Carolina, it seemed fitting for this chapter. Thank you all my readers, sorry I am so awfully at updating! I just finished a working a 16 hour, then 12 hour, then 16 hour shift at work :p so I am one tired cookie.

11: Collide part 1

Kirra's POV

My friends and I entered the club and I could feel an uneasiness ebbing inside me.  Something was wrong, something was terribly wrong.  When I had woken up today I had this weighted feeling of dread that something was going to happen.  And as the day progressed it strengthened.

The music of the club hit me with full force as I decided to make it to the bathroom to calm myself for a moment.

Trust me, they'll be blood in the streets
If you came looking for gold you won't like what you see
Move on, you know nothing's for free
Welcome to the city of ghosts, these vultures never sleep

I struggled to move through the packed sweaty crowed.  The club was full of reverberating techno music and moving bodies it was hard to breathe.  Not to mention the anxiety building in my chest and lungs after seeing the ghost with my own face, though something deep inside me told me those were not ghosts.

Your camp is burning down
The sun's never coming up
The voices are all around

I finally clawed my way into the women's room and moved to the sink to splash some cold water on my face and calm my nerves.  The sink next to me had a blond underage girl fervently trying to wash the x's off of the backs of her hands so she could buy alcohol at the bar.

And then they all fade out
Are you, and I don't hear a sound

Glancing up to look at my reflection I noticed the mirror starting to shimmer and wave across the wall.  As calmly as I could I looked at the blonde washing her hands next to me.  She stared at her reflection in the mirror as if nothing had happened.  Taking a deep breath I closed my eyes and opened them to a pale blonde haired girl with dark indigo eyes similar to my own, but that was the only thing we were close to resembling in appearance.

"Kirra, Malus is coming. We need to get out of here before he gets to us."

When it all comes falling
And the nightmare's calling
We can be the last ones standing
I'll keep you safe when worlds collide
I'll keep you safe when worlds collide

I managed one last look at the blond haired girl as she looked at the diminished x's on her hands, dried her hands, and walked out the bathroom-leaving me with a talking mirror that no one else could see.  Because that's not crazy or weird...

"Who are you?"  I asked the girl in the mirror.

Trust me, you'll be out here alone
I'm the furthest thing from heaven but the closest to home
Come on, this time you follow me
Right back to the city of ghosts, put the vultures to sleep

"I am Noxa, but I am also part of yourself, We were linked spirits when you were Amaya, which was yourself in your past life.  There is little time to explain.  But you and I are in grave danger.  There was a war years and years ago, before that war Malus kidnapped me and twisted my soul to spread his evil and harm many many people.  My sister Solia sealed away the darkness until centuries ago.  You and your sister Aroura were born into a royal family and chosen as vessels to hold Solia and my own spirits so the world could be protected from Malus. But it was only temporary, now you, Amaya and your sister Aroura have been reborn and the magic used to protect you and keep you hidden is waning now that you are 17 years of age.  We need to get out of here before he gets to us and does what he has done before."
