Salam Everyone! Today I will be talking about memorizing the Quran. The Quran is the holy book of Islam and it's the word of Allah SWT.
•Prep yourself- Make wudu if you are touching the Quran because you are not suppose to touch it without wudu. If you are reading it online you do not need wudu.
•Obtain a copy of the Quran with the language you want. I would get an Arabic to your main language if you get it so you can memorize both Arabic and the language you speak.
•Read the verse you want to memorize. Make yourself familiar with the Arabic and the translation so you will understand it
•Recite the ayah six times while looking at the Quran. Read it carefully looking at everything closely. If it's color coded look at the colors and use the colors to your advantage.
•Recite the ayah 5 times from memory. If you forget it go back and read it again but if you need a quick glance and know the rest of the verse take a look
• Move to the ayah and repeat reading it 6 times and recite from memory 5 times
• Recite the ayahs together from memory
•Continue memorizing the ayahs you want to memorize with the same steps.
-Don't forget to read the translation. It should help you understand what the Quran is saying so you aren't reciting it without knowing the meaning
• Repeat the ayahs till it is stuck in your head
•Get someone to test you. Make sure they can read it and help you if you make a mistake and if you do no worries that just shows you need to practice a little more.
•Read the pages you memorized so you don't forget it. You don't want to forget the pages you memorized and have to start all over again so read it over.
-If it helps you can go to Quran class and learn with other people.
