donghyuck focus

08:23 || 8:23 a.m.

today was a day donghyuck never got to enjoy.

a day donghyuck never had the chance to celebrate.

a day that donghyuck, as he grew up, blocked out of his life, much like his internal feelings.

today was mother's day.

the hype on radios and posters on the windows of stores going on sale to 'buy mom the best gifts ever for the lowest prices!' made the boy feel nothing but sadness.

he wasn't even mad. just sad. sad that he didn't have a mom to come home to, to shower with love, to talk to about his days with.

having the heavy, heavy subject in his heart, donghyuck took a slow shower and dressed into black jeans and a grey, oversized jacket.

he could tell by the end of this day, he'd have bloodshot red eyes and an even more, shattered heart.

he walked to school in the very cold, very windy, cloudy day. he was shivering when he got to his first period class, the class where he knew the teacher would probably hate him for the rest of his life for what he did yesterday.

he sighed deeply, a light headache starting to take its place. donghyuck had forgotten to take his migraine medication, and he knew he was going to suffer a lot more today.

just as he started thinking about the darkest topics in his mind, a certain somebody walked into the class.

but, he was crying. crying silently to himself with his head low as he walked into class.

mark.

he slumped into his seat next so donghyuck and put his head down, not saying a word anybody.

donghyuck felt even worse. if it wasn't for what he was going through now, he had his wingless angel sitting next to him, crying.

he wanted to do something.

but what?

he noticed his friend that he talked to a few times before, jaemin, watch him cry as well.

but all he did was give a sad smile towards mark.

donghyuck furrowed his eyebrows once he heard his teacher's voice boom out towards the class.

"today, we'll be making appreciation letters for our beloved mothers. we all have them, might as well show them how much they've done for us!"

what kind of classwork was this? donghyuck was not a fourth grader that wanted to make his 'mommy' some stupid ass cutout of a paper heart.

"not all of us have a fucking mom, you ignorant piece of shit."

donghyuck continued to murmur swear words and agitated comments under his breath as he death stared his teacher whilst he passed out craft materials.

what the boy didn't realize, was that his not-so-silent comments had managed to achieve mark's full attention.
