(Brendon's POV) warning: mentions of death

Brendon hit his head on the wall..on purpose.

All he could think about was Ryan. Wondering how Ryan had felt. If Ryan had thought it was worthless. If Ryan was hurt he wasn't able to talk to him.

Brendon's head hurt, not from the banging against the wall, but from the thinking.

He gripped his hair pulling on strands with his fingers holding back tears. His knees were pulled up to his chest as he laid on his bed.

Only two more days...

Brendon thought, lowering one of his hands to the floor to skim his fingers on the cold tile.

When the breakfast bell rung Brendon didn't move a limb. He knew he was going to eat in trouble but facing Ryan in two days was the last thing he wanted to do. And the thing he wanted to do most.

"Kid," Brendon looked up. "People have been in here for years, you've been here a day. There is no need for crisis." Brendon nodded getting up as his cell was opened.

Brendon didn't eat. He should, but he couldn't.

He felt as if he put any food in his body the thought of Ryan would make him sick enough to throw it up onto the tile floor.

From what Brendon could see there wasn't really any 'gangs'. More a bunch of teenage boys who looked scared.

Guess Brendon wasn't the only one.

A kid came and sat next to Brendon with bright red hair.

"Hello." The kid offered.

"Mm," Brendon replied poking the 'Mac and cheese' with his fork.

"What you here for?" The kid asked wiping his hand on his jumpsuit. "I'm Josh." Brendon took the kids hand throwing a smile his way.

"Drinking underage.." Brendon mumbled grabbing the sides of his striped shirt. He felt very out of place with his clothes still on him and not the branded orange jumpsuit.

"Damn, that's it?" Josh laughed taking a bite of his salad.

"Yeah, why what did you do?" Brendon asked raising an eyebrow.

"Killed someone." Josh said sighing.

"R-really?" Brendon asked scooting away.

"I mean kinda, he had it coming to him." Josh sighed. "I have a death sentence." Josh said coughing. "But I mean, I did something and now I regret it." Josh turned to look at Brendon. "Have you ever done something you regret?"

Brendon thought for a moment before replying.

"No."

I'm actually really proud of this chapter
Ok I don't really wanna talk about what happened today bc it was really hard to talk about and I mean it's kinda stupid but whatever
Ok but real quick my crush was staring at me in drama when I was standing up and then started chanting for me in a game and I ended up winning and he looked really happy
But yeah today was fun until that happened but whatever
So yeah my crush started cheering for me which made me really happy
And today in English I didn't want to be around the boys bc it pained me to be around them I'm on my period and it just made me uncomfortable
Sofias ex pushed a table into my stomach and I screamed bc I had a cramp and said that really hurt and he asked how did it hurt and I just bluntly said: "I have a cramp. I'm on my period, leave me alone." Then apologized almost in tears bc I felt so bad lol
