Cages

  Like a cage,
No one else can see,
And when they do?

  They run.

  Run so far away,
Like looking into the void,
But who can look at something so broken,
For so long?

  Mind like fog,
Thoughts half made,
Imagined memories,
And a person locked in that world so tight.

  They'll pretend it's nothing,
Distractions galore,
But the cage always snaps shut.

And the way to get out?

  Even worse...

A pretty face can hide a broken mind,
That's what no one ever sees.
