CHAPTER 04 - VANISHING MAN

    I was lost in his sea colored eyes. I couldn’t help but just lose myself in his eyes.

    ‘Click’

    ‘Suha’ I heard Rith’s voice. I looked at Avinash and we both moved away from each other.

    ‘Suhana’ Now I heard Anika’s voice. I didn’t know what came to me but I didn’t respond to their calls. Maybe I was too shocked about what happened five minutes before.

    ‘She is here’ Dev spotted us and everyone came running. Rith pushed everyone and hugged me tightly.

    ‘You are safe’ he was
speaking to himself.

    ‘I will always be safe because you are with me right’ I replied and hugged him back. All the other three joined in the hug.

    I got a little gap in the group hug and saw through it. Avinash was leaving the place. He walked away just like that. Actually he vanished. Not even a bye. That jerk. Urghh!!

    ‘Okay guys. I am not dead. Just leave me’ I freed myself from the hug.

    ‘You heartless wreck! We all are worried for you and you are pouncing on us’ Pappu pouted. I couldn’t help but smile.

    ‘Sorry, Pappu. I think I was little bit exhausted from getting trapped’ I apologized with my hands on my ears.

    ‘Yes. So let us get you home and I will make you the best dinner’ Rith said excitedly.

    ‘Actually, guys. I am too tired so I guess I just want to lie flat in my flat now. So just drop me in my home’ I said. Rith was little disappointed but he just did what I said. 

     ‘Sorry’ Dev murmured in my ears while I was getting out of the car. I just smiled back and went inside.

     ‘I just can’t believe that you spent nearly seven hours with that jerk’ Anika said as soon as we entered our room. I and Anika share the same flat.

      I just sighed.

    ‘But how did you guys get there? Who said you that I was there?’ I asked Anika.

    ‘So finally you woke from your sleep. You seemed too much disturbed and distracted’ Anika said with a serious expression.

    I couldn’t deny her because I was truly disturbed. I was shocked about what would have happened if Rith saw me and Avinash standing close and I was completely confused by the his behavior just before my friend’s entry and I was irritated as he just vanished without even looking at me once. Of course, too much in my head now and is definitely gonna explode.

    ‘See again you went to your own world’ Anika whined.

    ‘Sorry, Ani. I’m just….Never mind. You just answer my question’ I said.

    ‘After completing our punishment we went to R house. R went shopping with Shila and came by 10. Still Dev and you didn’t return. When R was about to call Dev he came home. He said that he went to buy something and when he returned the store room was closed. So he thought that you left. R called you several times but he couldn’t get you. So we came here and of course you are not here too. R became mad at Dev for leaving you alone with Avinash. Dev said that only you forced him to go to shop to get you something to eat’ Anika said.

    ‘Yes, I was hungry. So I send him to buy me something’ I backed up his lie. I decided to text him later to inquire about his health. I totally forgot it.

    ‘See, because of your stomach today you ended with that Devil. Anyways then R went to the store keeper’s house, got the key and rescued you’ Anika completed her rescue story.
