I'm lying on the floor unable to choose an outfit for this interview, my heart is pounding nervously and i stare at the ceiling.

"Why must I have the worst luck in the world." I mutter to myself as my tired body gets up and raids my closet once again.

I soon find one of the most ugliest, and not to mention basic outfits in the world. No offense. I went this the professional pencil skirt, and a white button up blouse, and black heels. I personally hate dressing this way since every other girl dresses like this for business interviews. But what am I going to do show up like I haven't washed clothes in a month.

I decide to straighten my hair and do my makeup normally with foundation and darkening my brows so I don't look like as usual. A zombie.

Also mascara, blush and bronzer are a freaking life saver. I brush my teeth and leave the building saying goodbye to Harper as well.

"I'll see you soon, Harper. I have an interview." I smile nervously and she nods.

"Don't screw it up this time!! Be early." she reminds and I nod swiftly.

"I know." I click my tongue and she laughs jokingly.

I walk out the lobby and find my car, unlocking it and placing my bag onto the passenger seat.
I get it closing the door behind me, I start my car nervously and drive down to Dillinger's building, which is right across from my now old workplace.

There's so much traffic to the point to where I could possibly walk there and get there quicker.

Instead I wait 10 more minutes in traffic before arriving on time to the interview with Mr. Dillinger.

I get out my car and go inside the big building, a different woman greeting me at the front desk.

"Name?" the blonde woman asks me in a blank tone.

"Evelyn Rose, I have an interview with Mr.Dillinger." I confirm and she laughs slightly, I shoot her a confused look and she points to the elevator.

"He's on the 36 floor."

I nod and walk to the elevator, taking a deep breath nervously. I watch as the numbers count down to the lobby and it opens very quickly.

I walk in and press floor 36, and it casually goes up, stopping at a couple floors before it hits 36.

It opens and my jaw drops to the floor filled with amazement. The ceiling is incredibly high, and the tile is beautiful. The grey walls and white floor makes it look like a palace.

I look around seeing many different rooms, 'Dillinger's Penthouse' I read and i see half of the floor dedicated to his 'house'

Next door to the penthouse, I see his office which takes up another half of the floor and his door is open, i nervously walk over to it and see him writing on some sort of paper.

I knock on the door standing in the doorway, which causes him to look up at me blankly.

"Come in." He stares and I walk over to his desk, taking a seat across from him.

"I am Evelyn Rose." I say quietly, due to my nervousness which i can tell he doesn't take lightly.

My heart pounds because i'm so nervous, he's extremely intimidating and sharp. I fear that I'll say the wrong things and he'll just cut me off.

"I'm well informed." He states with a expressionless face.

"Okay." I look down nervously and fidget in my lap.

"By the way, you're 3 minutes late." Mr. Dillinger remarks with a poker face and i look away.

"Yeah sorry, I was in traffic." I utter anxiously and he looks down at my hands, which causes him to look away quickly.

"I don't wanna waste time chatting. How old are you?" He examines my tense facial expression.

"I'm 22 years old, i'll turn 23 in 2 weeks." I say precisely and he nods writing something down.

"Why do you want to be my assistant." He blurts asking in a question form and i tilt my head.

'Uh maybe because i need a job, why else?' I ask myself and shake my head.

"I want to be your assistant because...i'm a quick learner and I can help assist you with your duties in the workplace. Just work related." I remind and he tilts his head skittish.

"Look if you're here to joke then leave." He warns me and i roll my eyes out of habit.

"Sorry but... I didn't say anything in a joking matter." I correct him and he squints his eyes at me.

"I'm about business and you seem blinded by that concept.. you start on Friday. Be here at 6am. If you fail to complete your duties you will be fired immediately." He warns me once again and i nod agreeing.

"I'll work hard." I say and take in a deep breathe due to the tension.

"I'm expecting a lot, since you're my assistant. You can go now." I nod and smile softly to him, which results him dazing at me for what it feels like a minute. He quickly looks away and I see his cheeks now turned to a light pink, he looks back at the computer and I turn away to walk away.

"Sorry sir, do you know when you'll have my schedule?" I ask curiously grabbing my hand, and he turns back to me his face back at a blank expression.

"Yes, if you want to come by tomorrow morning i'll have it. Take this key card it's how you'll get into this floor with the elevator." He hands me a key card and I grab it and my fingers accidentally graze his hand.

I felt his extremely warm skin, and I pull my hand away the same time as him very quickly. He looks away at his computer, with his now usual poker face.

I take the key and walk out of his office, putting it inside my purse. I walk into the elevator and push the button to the lobby which can come to my rescue.

I couldn't even breathe due to how sharp and intimidating he was, it was far to overwhelming. I can still feel his blue eyes on me like laser, and his perfect hair that sat perfectly on his head.

He dressed so well, and professional, he's incredibly smart.

He's so young and youthful, I can feel myself blushing and I just want to slap myself.

'Don't you even think about it. He's not good news.' I tell myself and the elevator takes me down to the lobby where I walk out of the building.

Fully conscious to my surroundings. The honks surround me and I look down frustrated, releasing one of my deepest breaths ever.
