Inside the cracked glass,

I pear into the leaden grey eyes,

That stare back at me,

Dully,
Taking slow,
Delicate blinks.

Discomfort can fill this room to the brim,

As I stare unrelentingly,

At the empty face before me,

As she continues to cover it,

With mask after mask,
To no end & no avail.

The room is over spilling,

I opened my mouth to her and I spoke,

Inside my mouth I felt this discomfort flow,

She didn't listen as she stared,

The girl in the cracked glass is mindless,

She is distanced from the world around her,

She is my reflection,

She is all I see,

And all I am.
