“Hey, wake up!” I woke up to his voice from my side. I could feel his hand on my shoulder, moving to wake me up. “Tommy, please move so I know you aren’t dead.”

I smiled at that. So I moved my hand to his. I opened my eyes to see his face above me. His smile was beautiful as ever.

“Thank god I thought you were dead and becoming a zombie.”

An idea came to me so I jerked up and my hands around his neck, while I groaned, “Groaaa! I’m gonna eat your brain, McHale!”

And I laughed. He did too. Our laugh was so warm that it brought the cold out of the room.

“I’m one hundred percent sure that a zombie doesn’t say something like that,” he said. I responded with a little, “Whatever.”

He got up from the bed, putting his clothes on. “To be honest, I really want to cuddle on the bed all day.”

“Then why don’t we?”

“I want to take a walk,” he said. “Get dressed.”

“It’s freezing out there.”

“No it’s not. And, it’s winter, duh! It’s the best season.”

I didn’t reply anything to that so I got dressed.
