"Don't you have a girlfriend?" I asked. We were in my room, having Harry Potter marathon, I was the one to choose the movie.

"How can you tell?"

"I mean, it doesn't make sense. You are, like, one of those popular kids. And you play basketball! You must have one."

He laughed. I didn't know what was funny.

"How about you, Tommy, do you?"

I was silent for a while. And then let out a big loud.

"Seriously?" I gave him a questioning look. He didn't seem like joking. "I don't think anyone ever gets me. God, I don't even think anyone ever sees me."

There was a long pause of silent, until he broke it.

"I do. I see you. And I get you," was all he said.

He never answered my question.
