Tam's POV
“Hika! Look over there!” I heard Mani shout to Hikaru over the music.
““I dare Tam and Mani to sing karaoke together!” Danny said to us.
“Why us?” Mani asked
“Because you guys are twins!” Mia said.
“What has that got to do with anything?” I asked.
“Everything!” Mia shouted and I knew we couldn’t back out of it.
“Well this is a dare-” Mani started saying.
“-and we aren’t known for skipping out on dares.” I finished.
“So, should we sing-”
“-Rebel Love Song? Yes! When do we-”
“-start? When those people are finished.” Mani said and pointed to the people singing now.
“You know it’s really creepy when you guys do that with Mani blocking the link!” Danny said, making us all laugh.
“Well we are still twins.” Mani and I said in our perfect unison. “Can’t we act like it sometimes?”
“Well I suppose so but…”
“It still creeps you out?” We guessed.
“Yes! Stop it!” Danny said. Mani and I both looked at each other evilly.
“Nah, we might keep this going all night.” We said and Danny took a couple slow steps back.
“We’re kidding, gosh! Lighten up!” I said hugging him.
“They’re finished!” Mia suddenly shouted and pushed Mani and I towards the stage.
“Next up we have Manisha and Tamisha Abelló singing Rebel Love Song.” A teacher said.
“How did they know?”
“Perhaps a little hybrid told them?” Mia said, innocently.
“Mia!” Mani shouted and she just smiled slyly at us. “What? Now get your arses up there!”
We got up on stage and the music started pretty much straight away.
“I cannot hide, what's on my mind, I feel it burning deep inside.” I started and the crowd cheered. Mani and I can actually sing pretty well, not that we ever let anyone know that. “A passion crime to take what's mine, let us start living for today.”
“Never gonna change my mind! We can leave it all behind.” Mani continued on and the crowed got even louder if that was possible. “Nothin's gonna stop us, no, not this time!”
“So take your hand in mine, it's ours tonight. This is a rebel love song. Hearts will sacrifice it’s do or die. This is a rebel love song!” Mani and I sung together.
“My outlaw eyes have seen their lies, I choke on all they had to say. When worlds collide what's left inside? I hold on tight and hear you pray!” She sung and I could tell she looked for Hikaru.
“Never gonna change my mind, we can leave it all behind. Nothin’s gonna stop us, no not this time!” I sung, trying to avoid looking for Danny. But failing.
“So take your hand in mine, it’s ours tonight. This is a rebel love song. Hearts will sacrifice, it’s do die! This is a rebel love song!” Mani and I sung together. “Wild and running for one reason, they can’t stop us from our freedom”
“Wild and running for one reason, they can't stop us from our freedom!” The crowd sung as Mani and I held out our microphones. That’s when it happened.
