Emerson's POV:
I watched as Justin and his brother, Brandon, finished packing up his things. Justin walked over to me and wrapped his arm around my waist. "I remember the first time I came here." I said and leaned against him. "Me too." He smiled.
*Flashback*
Justin moved his jacket so it covered Marlowe and I as we ran into his apartment. "It's so cute." I smiled at him. "Thanks." He chuckled and sat down. I bit my lip and sat beside him. Marlowe squirmed in my arms as I put her down. She crawled around, Dodger following behind her. "I've never seen Dodge so attached to someone." He said to me. "Really?" I smiled. "Yeah, He's been with me since I got out of the army and he's not as attached to me as he is with you and Marlowe." He chuckled, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I blushed and leaned into him.
Justin and I have been seeing each other for a few months. We haven't officially started dating but it feels like we are. I've never felt this way towards any guy except for Marlowe's dad, Thomas. I felt Justin kiss my cheek and I smiled as Marlowe squealed.
*Flashback Over*
Justin and Brandon loaded everything in his truck. "Ready to go return your keys?" I asked and he nodded as we left.
I laid on the bed, watching Netflix on my computer. Justin went to go get Marlowe from school. I wasn't feeling good after we got back from Justin's old apartment. I heard the door open and I paused my computer. "I'm in the room!" I called and heard footsteps. I smiled when Marlowe ran in. She frowned and asked if I was ok, in which I nodded in return. I opened my arms and felt her climb onto the bed. I kissed her forehead and her head nuzzled into my neck.
