"hey, beautiful."

"hi, mommy."

mommy was so beautiful.

she had soft brown hair and big blue eyes. she had the nicest smile, and i loved her as much as i loved daddy.

well... maybe not exactly.

"do you know where daddy is? where he went?"

"uh, um, no. i don't." i said, apologetically.

"that's okay. i bought you a little something while i was out. i saw it and thought of you."

i jumped and clapped my hands. "really?!"

"yes!"

she walked into the hall and grabbed a rustling bag. walking back into the room, she outstretched the big bag.

first daddy gave me a gift and now mommy!

i thankfully took the bag out of her hand and opened it.

inside was a soft sherpa blanket and a pajama set with a blue long sleeve and white shorts with blue hearts around the hem.

i put them down on my bed and hugged mommy.

she's amazing.

she and daddy take great care of me.

"you're welcome, ty." she said, combing her dainty fingers through my hair.

i'm so lucky.
