Sorry about this but this part is quite important. The 75th Hunger Games never happened because of the growing fear within the Capitol about the Districts and also because of a plan that Coin and Snow were putting into action. After the announcement, Snow resigned and handed over control to Coin. They had both been planning to get to this point together. However, Coin's hatred for Snow ran deeper than just using him to get to power and she had him killed shortly after becoming President.
