Count P.O.V

Today the kids school reports were sent out. I eagerly read Vladdy's to hear of him wreaking havoc and making everyone tremble before him. Maria of course read both and tried to hide Vlad's but I eventually got it. Once I read it, I was furious hearing my son being called nice. Ingrid tried to impress me and insisted on being the heir. I just laughed at the preposterous notion. Maria reminded her that she had titles to inherit from her side. I made Vladdy promise to be evil which he agreed to. Maria was furious with me and avoided me, even locking her bedroom door. She even reinforced it with magic so I couldn't use my shadow.

The next morning everyone did their normal routine with Maria walking the kids to school. However, today Vlad got suspended for pulling the fire alarm. I set up decorations and had Renfield bake a cake to celebrate. Maria and Vladdy came into the throne room and were surprised at the reception.

"This is ridiculous." Vladdy said which confused Zoltan. "I mean this. I want to learn things, I want to lead a normal life." Vladdy clarified which angered me. I cut his banner and scowled at him as Renfield cleared the room. I took my anger out on Zoltan as I pushed him into the wall. Maria sent Vladdy to his room which left us alone.

"You can't make Vladdy just like you. The boy is his own person not a clone of you. If you keep pressing this, you'll make your favourite son and heir resent you." Maria argued

"I know! He's so much like you which means he's hardly got a bad bone in his body." I replied but quickly ate my words. Maria scowled at me before throwing me onto my throne and pressing a knife to my throat. She pressed herself tight against me to keep me pinned as she leaned into my ear.

"So, what was that about not having a bad bone." Maria replied with a big smirk.

"You're plenty bad for me my dear. I suppose we just have to bring it out slowly." I answered before kissing her. With her in my arms, I carried her to our bedroom and laid her on the bed. We spent the next hour with each other since she had to return to the school. She fixed herself and looked normal.

"Remember don't force Vladdy to be you. Let him decide." Maria reminded me before giving me a peck. I stayed in bed for a while to bask in what just happened. I had to get dressed shortly to prepare my vampire lessons for Vladdy. The Bragnahs came by later to ask me to tutor Robin which I agreed to. We worked on hypnotism lessons which Vladdy was having difficulty with. I got him eye level to help him. However when I left his gaze, I hated the dreary atmosphere and decided to bring some light into the room like sunflower yellow paint.

After my talk with Vlad, I returned to school just in time for my class. I explained to the headmistress that I was tardy because I had a talk with Vladdy's dad. She understood my tardiness and appreciated my extra efforts. I went about the day like normal and stopped by the woodwork room. Before I entered, I heard Eric taking about slaying Vlad. I went to get Ingrid so we could get to the castle quickly. We came in and saw the room being painted. The decor was odd with flowers and bright colours around. The oddest part was when Vlad greeted Ingrid instead of ignoring her. I immediately knew that Vlad was being hypnotised which made me panic even more. Ingrid went to the kitchen to fix her father but was stopped by the doorbell. I stayed downstairs to protect Vlad while Ingrid went upstairs to get Vladdy. Eric came into the throne room with Jano held tightly against him.

"Anna, what are you doing here?" Eric asked while Vlad was trying to light the fireplace.

"I'm here to help Vladimir and get to the root of his lashing out." I replied as Eric eyed me curiously. I hoped that he didn't think I was back to normal. Vlad returned and grabbed my waist as he greeted the Bragnahs. We all sat down as the kids came running in. Robin tried to explain his parent's appearance as part of a fancy dress party. Jano believed it but Eric was still intent on slaying. Ingrid said that the dinner was ruined and suggested calling it off, which I agreed to. Vlad sent Renfield to the kitchen to fix something. Vladdy grabbed one of the silver trays with garlic on them and offered them as appetizers while Renfield was out. I gave him a huge smile for his quick thinking. Eric would have to leave if all the "vampires" ate it. One by one everyone ate a piece starting with Vladimir.

Vlad was about to eat one when we stopped him as I ate the last one. Vladdy was quick to act and gave him a piece of chalk. Eric was completely dumbfounded at the sight and unable to talk. Jano spoke for him and called the suspension off. I reverted the hypnotism and brought Vlad to his normal self. We quickly got some new grey paint and made the kids fix everything. Vlad decided to punish Vladimir with flying lessons at the prospect of him running into a tree. Ingrid naturally complained but I was quick to silence her. I was still extremely mad at Vladdy for needlessly endangering his fathers life. Thus, I had little patience for anything which made everyone go mute instantly. Vlad pulled me onto his chest to massage my head as we cuddled on the couch. I was getting calmer but I would still be mad for a while.

After seeing three vampires eat garlic, I thought about getting out of slaying. However, Jano convinced me to stay the course before we left. However, one detail was bothering me a lot from today. The count seemed rather close to Anna more than he should have. My suspicions were verified when he held her like they were a couple. She never mentioned that she was dating the Count. But, he held her like it was familiar. That would only happen if she got her memory back. Once again, she made no mention of that either. I would watch her closely for any signs of her former self. The most important aspect was keeping the counts filthy undead hands off my aunt.
