Snippit #1 Part TWO: MOVING IN

Start from the beginning

"Care to explain?" I asked with a laugh.

Biana blushed, "Well Dex and I--"

"LIGHTS OUT LADIES!" A sharp accented voice snapped.

"Got to go!" Biana whispered, ending the hail.

I smiled, those two were something else.

~~~
I glanced at the clock, it was nine thirty, and he still wasn't back yet. Where are you Keefe?
I tried hailing him, but he didn't answer. Now I was worried. He was supposed to be back half an hour ago!
"Fitz? Did Keefe leave yet?" I whispered, after hailing him.
"I don't know? Sophie, what time is it?" He asked groggily, rubbing his eyes.
"Nine Thirty," I said, nervously tugging on an eyelash.
"He'll be there soon, probably went to grab something to it--"
"No, he always eats when he comes home," I shook my head.
"I don't know Soph, but you should get some sleep. You've got school tomorrow," he advised.
"Yeah, I guess," I whispered.
"Good, night Soph," he said, ending the call.
I walked over and sat down on a bar stool by the island. Letting out a sigh, I stared at the now cold food in the basket. Where are you, Keefe?
~~~

"Sophie?" A male's voice whispered cautiously.

My eyes snapped open, and I whipped my attention to the boy standing in the door way. His blond disheveled styled hair had a leaf in it, and he was clutching a satchel.

"Where were you?" I demanded, standing up with a yawn.

"I was just working, what are you doing still up?" Keefe asked, walking over towards me.

"You said you were going to be working till nine," I pointed out.

"I had some extra stuff come up--"

"That's not okay. They said you only had to work till Nine," I argued.

"Sophie, it's absolutely fine. You should be asleep though, that's what's not fine!"

"Why didn't you hail me?" I asked, deflated.

"I was working, I didn't have time," he shrugged.

"When you know you aren't going to be home, you need to tell me!" I scolded.

Keefe rubbed his temples, like he was annoyed with me, and then stared at me. "What are you wearing?"

I looked down slightly embarrassed, "I planned a date night."

"Why?" Keefe asked like it was the most strangest thing ever.

"I haven't seen you in a while. This whole situation was for us to be able to spend more time together, but it feels like I'm seeing less and less of you. So I got all ready for you, and cooked all your favorite things, and-and I-I was really worried you didn't come home, and I-I had it all planned o-out a-and you w-work so hard and I f-feel like I'm t-taking advantage of y-you and I-I don't want t-to do that!"

Keefe immediately hugged me, and I didn't realize I was crying until I tasted salt.

His hands were in my hair and he whispered, "Sophie, it's okay. I want to do this, and I should've called you--"

"You should have!" I shouted.

"Sophie--"

"I-I can't do this! I-I just can't! I-I" I stammered, running my hands through my hair.

Keefe grabbed my hands, "Sophie, calm down."

I took several deep breaths, and I collapsed back into his opened arms.

"I'm sorry," I whispered, as we rocked back and forth. "I shouldn't have acted irrationally."

"Sophie, you look beautiful. Sorry I didn't mention it sooner," he whispered with a smile on his face.

I was wearing a white dress with blue flower petals at the bottom. My hair was in beach waves and I was wearing a light layer of nude makeup.

"Do you want something to eat?" I sniffled.

"Will I be lucky enough to dine with the most beautiful woman in the world?" He asked with a cheesy smile.

"I don't know, maybe?" I smiled shyly, as I walked around the counter and opened the picnic basket.

"A basket?" Keefe asked, raising as eyebrow.

"Oh yeah, I set some things up outside--"

"I want to see it," Keefe said with a small smile.

"It's dark outside, and I can just nook it--"

"You took a lot of time to set this all up, so I'm going outside in the dark and eating," he smiled, taking my hand.

"Okay."

We walked outside, and there were some backyard lights on. Some of the flowers had some glowing lights inside the petals too.

"You did all of this?" He inquired.

"Well, yeah. But it didn't take too long--"

"Sophie--"

"Come on, there's more!" I chirped happily, running up the hill to the top of the mountain. There was a tree on next to the rushing miniature waterfall, and beneath there was a blanket.

"Tada!" I smiled, extending my hands out.

Keefe looked at me with a sad expression on his face.

"Tada?" I repeated, slightly confused.

"I really should've left at nine," he whispered, a guilty expression on his face. "You did all of this for me, and I was late. Sophie--"

"Hey, it's all cool. Just sit down, and we can have a late date night," I shrugged.

He sat down, but he still had a guilty expression on his face. I leaned in and gave him a quick kiss.

"I'm really glad you're here now," I whispered, holding his hand.

"Me too," he spoke as I handed him some Starkflower stew.

"Guess what I have for dessert?" I smirked, wiggling my eyebrows.

"What?" He asked a smirk on his face.

"My mom's mallowmelt and some Ripplefluffs that I made!"

He reached for the basket, and I swatted his hand away.

"I waited for you to come home, you can wait to have Ripplefluffs!" I teased.

"Oh, I really was going for the Mallowmelt...so since that's still on the table?" He joked.

~~~
After we ate, we ended up going back inside. I went to sleep with Keefe's protective, strong arms around my waist.
"I love you Sophie. This was a wonderful night," he whispered playing with my hair.
"Um hmm, love you too," I whispered sleepily.
