Blind

for him . . . its just pitch black darkness at every turn. "
you & i, we met . . .
our similarities brought us together,
taking each other's hand,
we danced for the night.
one turn, two turn you twirled me around,
not knowing any steps . . .
i thought it was just about right.
one step, two step i let you lead,
not knowing any steps either . . .
you decided to believe me.
the dance was quite a thrill
we must be the centre of attention we both thought,
we did our best just cause.
sooner than later the dance was over
& it finally was the time to part,
i went one way & you another.
as in pitch black darkness
we were trying to find another dance partner,
we both came to conclusion . . .
there isn't anyone but just us two,
we could either go different ways
or dance all night long.
we did dance,
for as long as one of us got tired.
later in night,
when we turned to rest for a while
and in that moment we both did realize,
when i heard mumbles
then you touched a hand & it wasn't mine . . .
we both aren't alone here
but indeed just have been blind.
