I wanted to give you stars, skies, moon & the universe,
but i could provide nothing.
So i just gave all i had
to offer
that is my love.
you wanted gold, silver & diamonds
While i could barely make our ends meet,
It wasn't your fault
you deserved it all.
I tried, i really did.
To make you smile
Everyday,
Just as i promised.
but dreams was all i could offer
& you wanted diamonds across your neck.
so the best i could do
was to let you go,
for you to get what you deserve.
you did. you found the man,
with a fortune as big as his ego.
He bought you all kind of jewels
that i could not.
Though, one thing he still lacked
was love to give,
but it's alright
you only wanted the diamonds - to show.
( - across your neck,
even if it came with a leash
as long as its coated in gold.)
