But afraid of the aftermath
I let you be the fool alone.
Thinking you said something wrong
Letting you take all the blame for what went wrong
You took it upon you...
Even when we both knew the fault was mine.
And i let you,
I let you be the criminal
While i played the victim
Cause i was afraid
And you tried to save me
From something we both quite didn't understand
To help me...
So one day I'll return your feelings perhaps
A little hope...
For maybe i wasn't that broken & selfish as one may think
For a hope that maybe even the
Shatters of a heart could beat.
You tried,
We both know..
In vain it went.
The truth is..
We stopped talking the minute i stopped the chase!
The moment i realized it was not you
Who tried to stay,
But perhaps me who wanted.
Yes, you said all those sweet words
But just cause I... Said the firsts
You made me think i was special.
The fault is of my shattered heart
To actually think the same,
I always thought i don't deserve you
And i certainly was right.
Not because you were too good for me,
But because you proved me otherwise.
