SY: Chapter 19 - Teri Melvar

Zaila's POV

Ilang araw na ang nakalipas magmula ng mag-usap kami ni Andy. And I'm here sitting at one of the concrete benches near the Sailers Garden. Binabasa ko lang yung mga hand outs ko since maaga pa naman.

"Kainis talaga!" I darted a glance at Janna who's holding a canned of coffee. "Oh nyare??" I asked as she sat across mine.

"Sila Denise kasi e. Inubos yung Bacon sa bahay. Hotdog lang tuloy ulam ko." Still childish that's my friends. And I'm such a lucky one to have them. Really.

"Why didn't you cook a new for yourself??"

"Akala ko kasi late na ako. Yun pala wala Professor namin kaya free cut kami." She sip a bit of his coffee that I think from the vending machine in front of BM Building nearby.

"Ba't nagkakape ka??"

"E gutom e. Busy ka ata ah." She hold one of the papers and scanned. "Ay nga pala malapit na ang midterms natin. Malapit narin matapos ang first semester." Nilapag nya na yun kaya yun naman ang binasa ko.

"You. Do you haven't a planned to study??"

"Nah. Later." Malapit na mag second semester but they're still lazy. Except of Ashley who's really a grade concious. "Kamusta na kayo ni Jay?? I hope hindi kayo nag-aaway dahil kay Andy."

*flashback*

I sighed deeply. Kanina pa ako naghihintay dito sa baba ng building nila Jay. Nakauwi na kaya sya??

Tiningnan ko ang text ni Denise na 6 minutes ko ng nareceive. Ngayon ko lang nabasa dahil busy ako kakaisip kay Jay.

Nakauwi na kami nila Camielle. Tagal mo naman ata! Gutom na kami.

Mauna na kayo. Medyo matatagalan ata. Pumunta ata si Jay sa dean nila.

Pinasok ko na ang cellphone ko sa bag ko. Hindi ko pa sya tuluyang napapasok when it vibrated again.

He texted me what bar he is now. Nag taxi na lang ako papunta dun. And when I reached the bar. Rinig na rinig ang sound system ng buong bar mula sa loob sa labas.

I enter it. At nakita ko si Jay na mukhang lasing na. May nakapatongna babae sa lap nya. And it's the first time again since I cried.

*end of flashback*

"Ah ok naman kami." Tiningnan nya ako. "Bakit parang nagdadalawang isip ka ata??" Sinulyapan ako ni Janna.

"Huh?? Ah. Di. Pre-occupied lang." She took a big gulp of her coffee. "Do you want a coffee?? Para naman ma refresh yang utak mo. I'll give you one."

"Treat mo??"

"As always," I smiled widely. She stood up and wento to the vending machine. Hinilot ko ang sintido ko para maiwasan ang masyadong maraming iniisip. I need to focus. Next week is our exam after that 2nd sem na. At ayokong magkaroon ng malaking letter F sa card ko.

*cellphone vibrate*
