The night grew old, as Liam finally got me a big penguin after well 5 tries. He didn’t actually win it, he well, he bought it from the guy. He confessed to me when we were in the car going to a ice cream shop,
“Y-y-you are so dumb!” I sputtered out after laughing holding the penguin to my stomach,
“Hey, I told you I would get you a prize well I did. I just didn’t…win it.” He said lamely but smiled
“Okay Liam, whatever floats your boat.” I said calming down
He pulled into a ice cream shop and stopped the car in a spot,
Getting out, I left the big penguin in the front seat and skipped to Liam’s side where his hand found mine and intertwined our fingers together.
Sadly there wasn’t a spark of goosebumps but I didn’t care as long I was next to him enjoying myself with his company.
The small bell above us gave us away to the worker, she looked bored out of her mind but when she saw Liam she instantly stopped slouching and smiled a plastic smile. I recognized her she goes to our school but isn’t much of a big shot.
“Hi well come to Ben and Jerry how can I help you,” she said looking at Liam, twirling her hair and biting her lips
“Could I have a a strawberry cheesecake, and what would you want babe?” Liam said looking at me with a amusing glint in his eyes.
The plastic dropped her hand on the counter away from her hair and stared at me with a bitch stare,
“Hmm, I’d like that Chunky Monkey with a cone please?” I told her smirking at her, she glared at me then left to go fill out our orders.
I turned to Liam and looked up at him, “You know everyone at school will end up hating me,”
He gave a confused look, “Why?”
I got on my tippy toes and whispered in his ear, “Because I’m here on a date with you,”
I felt Liam shiver underneath me, and I smiled that I had that kind of effect on someone.
The Blondie cleared her throat and we both turned to look at her, “Here,” she said shoving the ice cream cones in our hands,
Liam paid her and took my by the waist and lead me towards the door. Looking over my shoulder I saw her texting furiously.
This will be the cherry on top of the ice cream I thought licking my ice cream cone as I turned around.
Going towards the car Liam reached out and grabbed my hand, "Hold up speedy Gonzales," he said smirking
"What happened?" i asked nibbling on the ice cream,
"There's a park right next to here, we can walk there if you want?"
i smiled, "i'd love that," i didn't want this date to stop now, i was having alot of fun with Liam even though i didn't't have deep feelings about him.
He smiled and lead me to the trail towards the park, still holding on to my hand
"So Alex, where do you see your self in 5 years?" he asked
i laughed, "You sound like the counselor,"
"Give me some credit here, i don't have the funky mustache that Mr. Lu has." he said licking off his ice cream,
I started to bite off the cone part of my ice cream when i said "Okay, whatever." i said trying to dodge the question
"Alex, you know if i didn't know any better i'd think your trying to avoid my question," he said smirking
