-Emelia's POV-

I finally woke up from my sleep, I was exhausted. Was it all a dream, am I just laying on my bed, ready for the first day of school to start? No, I knew it was all real, and I knew that the chances of it happening again aren't exactly to my liking. I sat up and looked around me, I seemed to be in a simple room.

Wait! I just realized that this isn't my room, I've been kidnapped! Somebody must have taken off with me while I was asleep! Suddenly, I heard footsteps walking towards the room I was in. I have to find I weapon before they get here! I looked all over the room until I found a convenient 2 by 4 under the bed. I stood next to the door, and waited for the kidnapper to open the door.

-Blake's POV-

I was finished making breakfast and sat at the table. Once I was finished with my eggs and coffee, I made breakfast for the guest too. I made sunny side-up eggs with hash browns and coffee, set it on a tray, and walked towards the bedroom. I heard noises coming from the room, so I quickly set the food down on the table and ran to the door. However, as soon as I opened the door and stepped inside, I was knocked to the floor by something huge and was semi-conscious. I couldn't see, but I could hear someone running from the room to the back door. I got up after a few seconds and chased after them into the woods.

-Emelia's POV-

As soon as the door open, I saw someone's head poke in and I swung the 2 by 4 with all my strength, it was a direct hit, though I didn't know how long he would be out. So I took off towards the back door. I thought I was safe, so I stopped to rest and pull myself together. But it didn't do much good after I heard the back door open and footsteps running towards me. I took off into the forest, hoping to lose the kidnapper. I was on the verge of crying and screaming for them to let me go. I was to afraid to turn around, and only kept running. Then, I stopped dead in my tracks when I realized I had just walked into a trap. I was surrounded by wolves, and they looked ravenous.

-Normal POV-

The wolves surrounded Emelia, blocking all hopes of escape for her. And the thick forest blocked any sunlight for her to use her powers effectively. All she could do was hope the kidnapper would arrive and distract them long enough for her to escape. But, there was no time because the wolves were now attacking. One wolf sank it's fangs into her left calve while another smaller wolf bit into her right knee. The largest wolf leaped onto her back and clawed into it trying to stay on. It finally found grip and bit into her hair, pulling and shaking it's head. Emelia screamed and sobbed in pain. Two more wolves sunk their teeth into her arms and another was ready to go for the killing blow, the neck. But, just as it was about to reach her throat, something struck it in it's side and the wolf laid dead. Burred into it's ribs, was a 30 inch black steel arrow with white fetching. Then, a black firestorm roared through the forest, scorching the wolves and the surrounding area. However, Emelia was unharmed by the flames and was being safely returned to the shelter in Blake's arms.
