Was It Real? (Pt. 2) - Aiden

The alphas had been tormenting your pack to no end. Your best friend Erica was dead, Boyd and Derek's long-lost younger sister went on a killer rampage, and now they were doing anything else they could to get Derek to join their pack.

One day you were walking out of school and you were looking for Scott and Stiles, you were all supposed to go to Derek's loft. As you were walking someone grabbed your arm and pulled you over to the side of the building where no one was.

You yanked your arm away and looked up to see Aiden, he looked emotionless as usual. You were annoyed, "Are you going to say something or can I leave?"

He sighed, "(Y/n) I'm sorry."

"Yeah you said that a few weeks ago when you broke my heart. 'I'm sorry.' 'I care about you.' 'I didn't want to hurt you.' Are you going to say the same things the next time it happens!

He looked at you in complete disbelief, "You've changed (y/n)."

"Let me go my own way then."

His expression grew angry and he began to yell, "What the hell is the matter with you (y/n)?! I said I was sorry! Does that mean anything to you or are you just that heartless?!"

At this point you were on the verge of tears but you held them back. You looked him in the eyes and spoke slowly and clearly, "You said you were sorry, but that doesn't change the fact that you used me. You said you were sorry, but that doesn't change the fact that our love was one-sided for the majority of it. You said you were sorry, but that doesn't change the fact that you used me to get my friends captured and one of them killed. You said you were sorry, but it doesn't change what you did."

Tears streamed down your face now, you couldn't stop them. You were extremely hurt, but after all you said his expression didn't change, "The day I told you the truth you said it was possible that we would get back together, and you were sweet about it too. Now I get it, you're just bitter because your friend died."

Hearing his last sentence felt like a stab in the heart. Your voice shook when you spoke, "You called me heartless, but now I see that you're the heartless one. I may have been rude just before, but you're absolutely heartless."

"People make mistakes! And you know what, people die! You can't change any of that!"

You swallowed and took a deep breath, "I'm glad I found out that you were like this. Even if it hurt me to figure out, I'm glad I've seen you're true colors. I never want to see you again, goodbye Aiden."

You turned to walk away but Aiden grabbed you and held your arm tightly. You spoke calmly, "Let me go."

"(Y/n) let me speak!"

"You've said enough. Now let me go."

"No! Damnit (y/n) I want you back!", he was growing angrier by the second and you started to get scared, he could kill you in an instant if he wanted.

"Aiden. Aiden stop, let me go!", his eyes flashed red and you heard him growl. Alphas were always particularly more possessive wolves, and he knew exactly what he wanted.

You tried to pull away from him, but he was obviously way too strong. You began to panic, "Scott! Scott help! Scott!"

Aiden was still angry, he didn't care how scared you were, "(Y/n) just listen to me!"

As you were trying to break away from him you saw Scott running towards you with Stiles trailing behind him. You called out to him, "Scott!"

He ran up to you and Stiles was behind him, ready to collapse from being out of breath. You stopped struggling and looked back and forth between the two wolves. Scott spoke calmly but sternly, "Let her go."

Aiden growled, "She's mine, I'm not giving her to you."

"I said, let her go."

You looked up at Aiden with tears in your eyes, "Aiden please let me go.", you began to sob, "Please."

Realization had finally hit him, he was using force to get you to take him back, he was scaring you into loving him again. He wasn't angry at you, he wasn't angry at your pack for being right about him, he was angry at himself for fitting the description the pack gave him, he was angry at himself for breaking your heart, and now he was angry that he tried to scare you into taking him back.

Aiden let go of your now bruised arm and you ran to Scott, he hugged you tightly as you sobbed. Aiden just stood there with his head down, he was disgusted with himself.

Stiles walked over to you and Scott, "Come on, let's get to Derek's."

You sniffled and spoke quietly so hopefully Aiden wouldn't hear, "Yeah, I'll feel safer there anyway."

Before you walked away Aiden called out to you, "(Y/n)."

You looked at him and he sighed, "Even though you won't believe me when I say it, and even though I don't deserve your forgiveness, I need to say that I really am very sorry."

You looked down at the floor, "Goodbye Aiden."

The three of you walked to Stiles' Jeep and got in. Scott sat in the back with you and you had your head on his shoulder. You sighed, "Now I know."

Stiles was confused, "Know what?"

You gulped and tears streamed down your face again. Scott wrapped his arm around you, "She knows that what she had with him, well, it wasn't real."
