Chapter 1

I hated my shitty life. I chanted in my head while wiping my bloody lip sniffling. I hate that I was rejected and when she just hit me he didn't do anything to help me in my vulnerable state. I sobbed heading in the school bathroom washing my lip and heading into a stall slowly slouching down. I buried my face in my hands and started to cry more.

I quickly texted Allie to come to pick me up. She was my older cousin and I loved her to death and she understood me, unlike others. I face burned from all of the slaps and blows I received. I was a wolf, I was supposed to be strong but I was a weakling and I hated myself for that.

I built up the strength pulling myself up and exiting the bathroom. I was walking through the hallway making my way to the exit of the school when a chocolate mint scent hit me. 

"No no no no no," I mumbled walking faster to the exit then I hit something hard. I knew exactly who I bumped into once again. I groaned to myself.

The scent became stronger and I dared to look up into his brown stormy eyes.

"S-Sorry Alpha." I murmured.

"Whatever." He looked at me with pity.

"Baby where are you?" I heard a voice. Prissy.

"I-I'll just go now." I turned on my heel.

"Like I give a fuck." I heard him say nonchalantly before walking away with her, the devil.

My eyes started to water but I chanted in my head "Qiáng liú". Stay strong, It meant in Chinese.

"Bitch, stay away from him or I'll hurt your sorry ass again." She laughed and I ran out of the school with tears falling down my face again.

Thank god Allie was here I just hopped in the car, roughly wiping my tears away.

"Kat wha-"

"Just drive," I whispered on the verge of crying again.

"Katalina you can't be quiet about whatever is going on," Allie said dabbing my lip and my face. I winced at the pain and sighed.

"I can't Allie and I love you but please..." I pleaded.

"Fine, but you have to stop getting hurt." She balled up her fists and I giggled.

"You always make me laugh man, I love you." I smiled.

"We should get you home before your Mò hè freaks out." She laughed taking me home. She knew my mother too well and she would freak out because it was getting dark.

 " Nǚ'ér, where have you been?" Mother scolded me. 

"Oh noo I picked her up early from school she wasn't feeling well." Allie covered for me, I shot her a quick glance thanking her silently.

"Thank you Qíngrén." thank you, sweetheart, Mum told Allie. 

"No prob Āyí," Allie said before leaving. Āyí meant auntie.

"Katalina are you okay dear?" Dad asked me with worry.

"Yea I'm fine dad, just need some rest."

"Okay Hunny go in your room, I'll see you tomorrow bright and early. And I'll make your favorite." He smiled which made me give him a weak smile before going to my room.

I took a shower and then laid in my bed silently thinking.

I didn't want to go to school anymore.

I hated it.

I hated life. 

I'm useless.

Rejected.

And then I finally slept.

Throughout the night I felt a tight feeling in my chest, it was painful which made me not have a good night's sleep. I quickly got ready for school. I actually wore something nice today because Angie made me.

I went into my kitchen to see waffles, bacon, and eggs and I grinned at my dad. I gave him a thumbs-up before digging in.

"Bye Dad," I called.

"Bye kiddo." He kissed my cheek.

It was a long walk to school, mainly because I took the long way on purpose.

"I don't wanna go there." I sang out loud to myself.

"But we have to go there." Other vocals came behind me making me startled.

A boy with messy blonde hair and brown eyes came up behind me smiling.

"The name is Collin." He smiled at me.

"Uh-uh, Katalina." I smiled shyly. Shit  why did I have to stammer?

"Well, nice to meet you. Can I call you Kat?"

"Sure. You new around here?" We started walking again.

"Yea. My sister and I just got in the pack after rouges attacked our old one." A flash of sadness clouded his features.

"I'm so sorry,"  I said looking in his eyes but his facial expression had already changed.

"It's cool, wanna know why?"

We finally reached the school and I showed him the principle's office so he can get his schedule.

"Guess." He teased.

"Uhh..."

"Come on Kat." He grinned.

I groaned and gave him a look showing that I didn't want to continue his 'Guessing Game'. 

"Fine. It's cool because you are my new friend and we have the same exact classes together." He grinned pulling me close.

This will be a long year.

Short but a longer chapter coming tomorrow because I just wanted to get this chapter up.
