"Hey, Val." Sharna came up and gave him a hug.

"Hey, Sharna."

They separated and it happened.

Val had this unmistakable urge just to kiss Sharna Burgess right then and there. Always.

It was her spontaneous hugs, her little giggle when someone would tell a joke, her playful wink she does just to be dramatic, the hair-ography she always did when she danced, her genuine smile.

Those were the things that made him want to kiss her.

But he never did.

She had a boyfriend, he wasn't going to kiss her.

Then the day came.

It all began when Val heard a doorbell at his apartment.

Sharna was standing in front of him, in the pouring rain, with messy hair and smudged makeup.

"Sharna, Love, come inside."

She stepped carefully into the apartment.

"What's going on?"

"I need to stay here."

"Of course, Sharna. However long you need to."

"Thank you, Val."

She encased him into a tight hug.

"You doing okay?"

"Not really, no." She confessed.

"What happened?"

"Travis, he...I got kicked out."

"He kicked you out?"

"Yeah, he thought I was cheating with some of the pros."

"Sharna, just know that he didn't deserve your love."

She nodded.

"You deserve all the love in the world, Sharna May."

His finger rubbed back and forth on her cheek.

He fought the urge to kiss her again. But hey, he could now...

She'd been staying with him for a bit over a week now.

"Val, I can't stay here anymore. I'm causing too much trouble, having to live with another person."

"Sharna, you're not causing any trouble. You never have, and you never will."

They continued their small talk before Val had another glorious idea.

"Sharna, you seem down, show me the bumper you choreographed."

"Alright." She went to her phone and played the music.

Then she did it. She did her signature hair-ography.

Ahhhh I want to kiss her so badly. Val thought.

"Okay, Sharna, stop."

She cut the music. "Stop what?"

"JUST STOP BEING SO OVERWHELMINGLY PERFECT!" He exclaimed, and went to do the one thing he's always wanted to do.

He almost jumped up to her and kissed her as passionately as he possibly could.
