Chapter 24

Jayln gets carried out of the school on a stretcher, and he is taken to the hospital. I admit I felt bad for how the situation came about. I do enjoy getting a rise out of Jayln, but in all honesty he hasn't done anything to me other than exist. He lost a lot of blood, so I don't know if he will make it or not. Dino has been ignoring me all day. It's so typical of his attitude that I'm so immune to it now.

The school days ends, and I am the first to leave the gym. I rush to my locker, and throw my gym clothes inside. I look down at my phone, and see a text from Lando. He wants me to come home quickly so he can tell me and Tommy some news. I slide the phone back in my pocket, and close my locker. I walk down the stairs to exit the building, and head to my car. I unlock the door and get inside to head home.

I pull up to the house about 45 minutes later. It isn't a far drive but I made a stop to get gas and some snacks. I gather my bookbag and my snacks and exit the car. I pop a starburst in my mouth, as I walk up the stairs. After unlocking the door, I go inside and throw my bookbag on the table near the door.

"Lando!" I call out to him.

"In here!" He responds back.

I walk into the living room, and he's sitting on the sofa with Tommy. I walk around and find me a comfortable space on the sofa across from them.

"So what's up?" I ask as I throw my bag on the side of me.

"I guess I'll just say it. Do you remember the dude I brought to your birthday party?" Lando says nervously.

"Yeah." I answer skeptically.

"Well I cheated on him because he wanted me to wait six months before I took his virginity. He was worth the wait but my hormones got the best of me, and his sister was throwing her pussy my way. Long story short I fucked her, and now we have a baby on the way." He finishes looking up at Tommy and I's facial expressions.

Tommy was shocked and so was I. You would think Lando would've been a little smart. "Do you think it's yours?" Tommy asks.

"In a way, yeah." He nods. "I want to do the right thing, but damn I don't want no babies right now." He looks over in my direction. "How you feel?" He asks me.

"I'll be happy for you regardless. You may have did the wrong thing but that's the consequence. You got to do better." I shrug.

"Just keep me updated." Tommy says standing up to throw his trash away.

"So what happened to you today?" Lando asks me while scrolling on his phone.

I exhale deeply as I sit back. "So much..." I respond and wipe my face of the mini sweat forming.

"Like..." Tommy says coming back into the room.

"Dino mad at me." I start.

"Again?" Tommy and Lando ask at the same time.

"Yep..." I nod. "Brenden and I talked today. Y'all know how much I love messing with Jayln, so I didn't tell Brenden that he was behind him. I asked Brenden would he leave Jayln for me and he said in a heartbeat. Once he said it, I let him know Jayln was behind him. I don't know what happened after I left, but Jayln ended up slitting his wrist in the locker room."

"WHAT!" Lando yells standing up. "Is he gonna be alright?" He asks frantically.

"I don't know. I didn't even know you still talked to him." I respond.

"We didn't talk like that after what you did, but we are good friends. You should've said this shit earlier." He says rubbing his head, and picking up his phone.
