It was dark by the time Joey dropped me off. I tiredly looked over at my house hardly have the energy to get up out of the car to go in.

“I had fun today,” I said looking back at Joey. He smiled with a nod turning off the car so it was quiet.

“I did too,” he said. I smiled back at him then sighed. “Something wrong?” he asked sounding a little concerned. I shook my head.

“Just tired, I think I got a little too much sun today,” I explained. He nodded. I picked up my back from the floor and put it on my lap as I took off my seat belt.

“Oh hey before you leave I forgot to tell you something,” he said more cheerfully. I looked back at him curiously. “I was talking to Luke about your Canadian themed Channel, he says maybe the two of you can cover a Canadian artist since you sing too,” he explained. My eyes widened a bit.

      “Seriously?” I asked.

“Yea I think it would be really cool if you guys did that and made a music video type deal, Luke is amazing at music videos he’ll help you a lot,” he explained.

“Wow, definitely, tell him yes that would be so great,” I said. He smiled with a nod.

“I will pass on the message,” he confirmed. I nodded with a smile and put my arm around him for a tight hug.

“Thank you Joey, for everything,” I whispered in his ear. He gave me a tighter hug.

“Anything for you,” he whispered back and my heart exploded. I pulled away giving him one last smile. He waved saying goodnight and I said it back then went into my house.

I showered getting all the sea salt out of my hair then changed into some pjs. It was a good hour since Joey dropped me off when I heard frantic knocking on my door. I eyed it for a moment before opening it.

To my surprise Joey stood there. What was he doing back there.

“Joey? Is everything okay? What are you doing here?” I asked worriedly looking up at him. He looked troubled and I couldn’t understand why.

“Yea um, listen there was something else I needed to say to you,” he started. I nodded slowly.

“You could have texted me silly,” I said with a slight smile. He shook his head giving a focused determined look.

“No I had to do it face to face,” he explained. I nodded slowly.

“Well you can tell me anything,” I assured him. He nodded glancing into my eyes. He looked nervous, why was he so nervous.

“I just, was-was wondering if maybe, I dunno if you’re free but maybe I could take you out t-tomorrow,” he stuttered. My eyes softened and a smile grew on my face. Okay relax don’t get a head of yourself.

“Yea, sure. What did you have in mind?” I asked curiously.

“Well I had an idea but it’s a surprise but I was thinking tomorrow around 6?” he asked looking me in the eye more confidently.

“Sure, are we going somewhere fancy or jogging or something?” I asked with a small giggle.

“No, um casual, we’ll be outside so a sundress if you want or just shorts and a shirt,” he explained. I nodded slowly.

“Okay sounds nice. I’ll see you then,” I said. He nodded smiling a bit more looking less nervous.

“Great, I’ll pick you up at 6, don’t be afraid to cancel if you have to. I’ll understand,” he offered. I gave him a look.
