*Jen’s. P.O.V*

I dressed in a decent outfit. Nothing special, I wanted to be comfortable besides it’s not a real date, more of a personal meet and greet. I read and reread the email instructing me where to go. I had to meet him further into town and from there he would apparently lead the way. I memorized the address and soon it was time for me to leave.

I bussed it down town and got out a few blocks away. It was a beautiful evening, the sun hadn’t set yet and the heat coming off of it was at the perfect temperature. I loved living in LA. Moving here was probably the best choice I ever made. Of course I couldn’t live here permanently since I’m Canadian originally but I liked to vacation here during the winter months back home.

I looked around trying to find the restaurant I was to meet Joey. I was starting to get a little excited. I mean after several years of watching his channel it is almost like meeting a celebrity.

I spotted the restaurant and wrapped my arms around myself as I look around. Joey wasn’t here yet, gave me the chance to collect myself and make sure I acted normal. I hadn’t been myself in awhile and I didn’t want to be a bore to him.

“J-Jennifer?” a nervous sounding voice came only a few minutes later. I quickly turned and was met with a familiar face. I forced a pleasant smile.

“Yes,” I said. Joey smiled putting out his hand.

“Joey, it’s nice to meet you,” he said and I could tell he’d rehearsed that line in his head all day, was it really nice to see me or had he been forced to be nice too. I shook his hand politely.

“Yea, you two, it-it’s nice to meet you,” I stuttered slightly and even I was surprised. Why was I acting like a giddy school girl, he’s just a youtuber I find amusing.

“Thanks, how are you?” he asked. I groaned in my head, I hate when people ask me that because I always had to lie.

“I’m okay thanks and you?” I asked kindly keeping a smile to show my friendliness. I wanted this night to go well. If anything it could be a fun memory.

“Pretty good thanks, so uh, would you like to head in? I don’t know about you but this boy is starving,” he stated and I hinting his usual weird accent starting to creep into his voice.

“Yea sure,” I agreed. He opened the door for me and motioned me inside. I gave him a small polite smile before walking in. I must say he looked like he put more thought into his outfit than I did. He had on a nice button down blue top, that was quite tight but suited him because of his decent build and along with those he had on tight dark blue pants. I looked like a slob compared to him in casual black skinny jeans and a white tank top under a light purple sweater. At least I straightened my hair the way I liked it.

We were seated near a window in the restaurant and were each handed a menu to look at. I opened it up to look at the options.

“I’ve never been here before,” I commented as a conversation started. Joey looked up at me from his menu.

“Oh my goodness girl you’re missing out,” he said and I couldn’t help but smile a bit, he had a crazy voice.

“Oh yes how have I lived without ever eating here,” I joked and he chuckled a bit still looking down at his menu. I searched for awhile but couldn’t decide what I wanted while Joey on the other hand seemed please with his choice since he let out a load ‘mmm’ sound. I looked up at him curiously.
