We lounged around casually for awhile till Joey’s head wasn’t pounding bad enough to not drive. We didn’t do much in the mean time. We talked, got to know each other a little bit more. It was nice there wasn’t much I wouldn’t tell Joey, well except for my small crush on him.
I noticed it last night when he was dancing with me, it was just nice and he was really handsome and really nice to me. He looked me in the eyes when I talked and asked questions that got me talking more it was so different and I really liked it. I didn’t want to pursue these feelings though, we’d only known each other a few days, it was far too early for anything like that.
I pulled up next to his car later that afternoon and put the car in park.
“Well thanks again Jen for taking care of me and everything I appreciate it,” Joey said looking at me. I smiled back with a nod.
“No problem, my pleasure,” he said. He smiled back at me and took off his seat belt. I didn’t want him to go. I wanted to see him again, god why am I so pathetic.
“Hey um so you wanna hangout again soon or something?” I asked him before he could leave the car.
“God girl take it easy you’re smothering,” he said with a look of annoyance on his face. My eyes widened in worry.
“I-I’m sorry,” I stuttered nervously. His annoyed looked turned softer and he chuckled gently shaking his head.
“Oh Jen no I was just kidding I’m sorry,” he laughed placing one of his hands on my shoulder. I let out a sigh of relief and placed my hand over my heart.
“That’s wasn’t nice you big jerk,” I said with a pout. He laughed covering his mouth.
“I’m sorry but oh my gosh your face,” he teased. I rolled my eyes.
“I changed my mind I don’t want to hangout with you,” I stated turning away from him dramatically.
“Aw come on it was a joke you know you see me again,” he said confidently. I shrugged.
“Makes no difference to me,” I stated stubbornly but in a teasing way. He smiled at me.
“Sure, sure,” he teased. I smiled back at him. “Actually I’m going to be pretty busy the next few days but maybe this weekend, we can have a lazy day like we talked about yesterday,” he explained. I nodded in agreement.
“Sounds like fun as long as I still get to borrow Hitch to cuddle with,” I said with a grin. He laughed with a nod.
“Of course,” he said. I smiled. “Anyways have a good rest of the day, take care,” he said exiting my car.
“Seya around,” I said with a wave. He shut my door and I pulled away driving back to my lonely apartment. I looked forwards to this coming weekend. Joey and I hanging at his place being lazy, sounds wonderful.
