The week dragged on but Saturday morning soon came and I was slightly happy to see a cloudy raining day. It made being lazy is easier when it was a crummy day.
At 11 I got a text from Joey which made me smile.
-Hey girl hope you’re doing well. Are you still free for our lazy day?- it read. I smiled to myself.
-Hey Joey, I’m good and you? Yes of course I’m still free and judging by the weather it’s a perfect day for it :P- I wrote back and didn’t have to wait long for a response.
-I’m great actually been busy so it’ll be nice to be lazy with a good friend. Do you need a lift?- he wrote.
-Well I’m honored you chose me to be lazy with and no it’s okay I can drive over in a few, just need your address, I promise I won’t sell it online to some crazy stalker fans-
-Haha if you do make sure you get a good deal :P anyways I’m over on 2nd avendue apartment 235, hurry and get your butt over here before I start Totoro without you!-
-Noooooooo! Be over in about 15 mins- I wrote then quickly got dressed and left my house jumping into my car and headed over to the address Joey gave me. I stopped off at the corner store first buying some chips and candy cause you obviously can’t have a lazy day without junk food.
I arrived at his place and parked my car. I walked up to the door and knocked holding the bag of junk behind my back.
Before long Joey opened the door with a wide smile.
“Hey,” he said cheerfully pulling me into a tight hug. I hugged him back happily. “Come on in I’ve got everything set up in my room,” he said.
“Sounds great, I brought a little something,” I said taking off my shoes. Joey looked at me curiously. “I know you’re a bit of a health freak but,” I said and showed him my bag of goodies. “You can’t have a lazy day without junk food,” I stated happily. Joey groaned shaking his head.
“Jen what are you trying to do to me,” he asked as he took the bag from my hands and looked inside. I laughed a bit.
“Making you fat,” I teased and he raised his eye brow up at me.
“It just might work, ouu what have here, mmmm goody goody gum drops I love these,” he said pulling out the gummy treats. I laughed a bit watching him. “Want a drink?” he asked walking me further into his apartment.
“Sure a water would be nice,” I said looking around recognizing everything that I’ve seen in his vlogs. It was so strange seeing it all in real life but I liked it. I noticed his room mates’ dog sleeping on his bed. He instantly perked up seeing me and ran to me barking at my feet.
“Oh my god you are just too precious,” I stated bending down and petting him. He placed his paws on my lap and licked my hands as I pet him. I was so jealous of this dog he was adorable.
“Hitch meet Jennyanya, Jennyanya meet Hitch,” Joey said coming back with a smile and water bottles in his hands.
“Jennyanya?” I questioned with a smirk.
“I came up with it last night, deal with it girl,” he teased and bent down with me. Hitch licked at Joey. “Look how excited he is, he’s like ‘oh my god Joey has a new friend, hi, I”m Hitch I’m the big bad guard dog I’ll protect you Jennyanya,” Joey said in a high pitched tone that he usually used for his ‘Hitch’ voice. I couldn’t help but laugh.
“Are you going to come cuddle with us Hitch?” I asked and he just barked. “I’ll take that as a yes,” I said and picked up him then followed Joey upstairs up to his room. He had a ton of pillows on his bed and it looked really comfortable.
“Take a spot Totoro is already in the player,” he motioned me. I climbed onto his bed getting comfortable and Hitch quickly curled up on my lap and relax. Joey turned off the lights and closed his blinds then put the snack on the bed and handed me my water.
“Is it weird how excited I am to be sitting her watching Totoro right now,” I stated looking over at Joey. He laughed a bit.
“Yes you’re the strangest person ever,” he joked sitting beside me.
“You know you’re excited too don’t deny it,” I said poking his arm.
“Yea I am,” he said with a smile. I laughed slightly then looked at the tv as he pressed play this was going to be a fun afternoon.
We both pretty much devoured the candy by the end of Totoro and moved on to the chips as he put in a second movie. We moved on the third I was starting to get drowsy, doing nothing all day and eating junk really doesn’t give you much energy. My eyes quickly grew heavy and before long my head started to slowly drop and before I knew it I was drifting off to sleep.
