“That was so good. I loved your sign off, oh Canada bitches,” Cat laughed.

“Yea it wasn’t too mean I kept trying to think of something less vulgar,” I laughed.

“No that was good I liked it, very original,” Joey commented. I sighed a sigh of relief.

      “That was fun,” I said.

“Can we do one together one day?” Cat asked.

“Yea definitely. I have so many ideas for videos. Like snow flake making, or poutine cooking I thought about Canadian beer tasting and all sorts of funny stuff,” I explained.

“Wow you put a lot of thought into this,” Joey commented as he took the stuff down.

“I have I’m kinda excited, it gives me something more productive to work on. I mean it’s an original idea I think so I wanna see if it catches on,” I explained.

“We’ll definitely help you’ll have your first 100’000 subscribers in no time,” Cat said happily. I laughed a bit with a nod.

“So what do you girl wanna do now?” Joey asked curiously once everything was put away and the videos were being downloaded to his computer.

“Well I actually gotta go now but you guys have fun,” Cat said smiling as us. I eyed her shaking my head slightly. She hugged me tightly whispering ‘details later’ into my ear. I rolled my eyes smiling at her. She hugged Joey then left leaving us alone.

“Hungry?” he asked me. I nodded my head. “I was planning to make turkey burgers with broccoli,” he said walking to his kitchen.

“Sounds healthy,’ I teased sitting down on the chair on the other side of the kitchen.

“Excuse me if I’m a healthy boy. I can make you something different if you want,” he offered.

“No no it’s okay, I like anything you cook,” I said and he smiled at me.

“So I was thinking if you wanna hang a bit longer we can go ahead and edit the videos and maybe even upload them tonight,” he offered. I nodded in agreement.

“Definitely. I’m excited but so nervous. I hope people like the videos,” I said.

“I’m sure they will, it was pretty funny making it so I’m sure it’ll be entertaining,” he explained. I nodded.

“I’m gonna wash this stuff off my face,” I said and he nodded. I quickly left to the bathroom washing off the makeup and face paint. I tossed the Canadian flag in my back. I eyed it for a moment coming up with a funny idea of painting a room in my apartment with a Canadian flag that way that’ll be my filming room. I wonder if Joey would help me with that.

“Hey Joey,” I said in a curious tone as I walked back to the kitchen.

“Yess,” he dragged out in a silly high pitched tone.

“I just got an idea to make my futur videos more interesting but I need your help,” I stated sitting on the chair again.

“Sure what’s up?” he asked looking at me.

“Well I was thinking about painting a wall in my apartment as a huge Canadian flag to use as the background for my videos when I film. Do you think you can help me?” I asked curiously.

“That’s sounds awesome of course I’ll help,” he said and I smiled more.

“Great, thanks, it’s going to be awesome,” I said happily. Joey smiled over at me.

“You know you’ve come a long way from the shy mess I first met you,” he commented. I stopped smiling at looked over at him. “It’s good, you look like you’re having fun again,” he continued. I nodded slowly.

“You know I have you to thank for that right?” I asked. He smiled a bit looking down at what he was doing. “It’s true, none of the good in my life would be there if it weren’t for you,” I continued.

“I’m glad,” he said looking up at me. I smiled back at him and for a moment we just stared at each other, neither of us saying anything but nothing had to be said, there was a peace between us that we both liked. It was like we were meant to be friends. “You know I feel very comfortable with you,” he stated shifting over so he was directly in front of me. I tried not to blush as I nodded leaning my arms on the table.

“I do to Joey, I’m feeling very content right now,” I added to his commented. With both his hands on the counter I noticed him leaning a bit closer as he looked at me. There was a fair amount of distance between us because of the counter separating the kitchen from the living room but with both of us leaning inwards towards each other it didn’t seem o big.

It would be a totally cliché of us to lean over the counter and share a kiss. It would probably the most romantic thing that’s ever happened to me but cliché none the less. What am I even thinking, Joey doesn’t feel like that towards me. My heart melted as I looked into his kind eyes. Or does he? No he doesn’t, I’m fooling myself to think he does.

Sawyer coming down the stairs pulled us out of our little world and we both backed up.

“Hey guys how’d the video go? I heard a lot of laughing,” Sawyer asked.

“Good, I think they’re great,” Joey commented going back to cooking.

“Dude what’s on your face,” Sawyer laughed. I smiled proudly.

“I turned him into a Canadian,” I stated happily. Sawyer laughed.

“Your channel is Canada based right? We should do a video and you can show me funny ways to pick up Canadian girls,” he suggested. I laughed a bit.

“Yea that could be fun, first step is you gotta know how to shovel snow of a drive way” I teased. He nodded with a laugh then turned to Joey.

“You gotta bring her over more often I like her,” he said then grabbed a snack and left.

“You just hit it off with everyone don’t you,” Joey said looking at me. I shrugged.

“I’m Canadian it’s part of my charm,” I teased, he laughed shaking his head and finished making dinner.
