*Joey’s P.O.V*

I watched Jen leave with Kat to the dance floor. I was honestly so happy she was getting along with everyone. She looked a little nervous at first but I could tell she was starting to get used to everyone.

“So what’s up with you and the new girl?” Luke asked with a grin. I glanced at him confused.

“What ever do you mean?” I asked sipping my drink.

“You two are like attached at the hip. I’m almost surprised you didn’t go dance with her,” Luke said. I rolled my eyes.

“We’re friends Luke, I just met her, she’s nice I like hanging out with her,” I said sipping away at my drink and before I knew it it was done and I was stealing someone else’s.

“She’s cute,” he commented and I glared at him slightly.

“Paw off,” I stated drinking more. He laughed a bit.

      “Protective?” he questioned smirking still.

“She’s just different okay. She’s been through a rough time and I want to help her, I want to make her happy again like she deserves,” I said and even I could tell I was starting to slur my words a bit. Clear I was drinking more than I thought.

“Go dance with her dude, tell her she’s pretty,” Luke said patting my back.

“You know what I will,” I declared finishing off the drink I stole and stood up walking to where the girls went to dance. “Jen,’ I yelled loudly and she turned to me her green eyes sparkling. “I came to bust a move,” I told her wiggling my hips back and forth beside her. She laughed shaking her.

“Dance guys dance,” Kat encouraged. I took Jen’s hand spinning her a few times then pulled her in close dancing with her dramatically.

“Joey you’re a nut,” she laughed.

“You must be the cute little squirrel then if I’m your nut,” I stated and she laughed shaking her head.

We continued dancing and I started to feel funny. I don’t really know what I was doing but slowly everything started to become a blank. I remember drinking more and telling Jen she looked pretty because it really was true but everything after that was pretty much a blank.

      *Jen’s P.O.V*

Getting Joey back to my place was difficult to say the least. Kat helped me as much as she could  but in the end he was my problem since none of the others drove. I took the bus because I couldn’t afford a cab and it was the most adventurous part of the night.

Joey was a handful, I didn’t exactly know where he live and I wasn’t about to drive his car so I figured taking him to my place was the best option. He was very talkative and silly, it was quite amusing actually but once I got him to my place he completely passed out. I sighed to myself and positioned him on the couch and through a blanket over him before quickly showering and changing into pjs myself.

I quickly fell asleep reliving the memories in my brain. I loved tonight, it was honestly a lot of fun, Joey was insane and his friend Kat was really cool. I could probably get used to hanging with these people.

The next morning I woke up decently early for falling asleep at 3 in the morning. I stretched the pulled my hair into a pony tail and went to check on Joey. He was right where I left him, in the exact same position. I chuckled to myself he was definitely going to feel horrible when he woke up.

I started to make some breakfast hoping the smell would gently wake him. I prepared some advil and a bottle of water for him setting it on the counter before finishing up the pancakes.

Sure enough as I finished up the last one I heard groaning coming from across the room over on the couch. Joey slowly moved sitting up with more groans.

“Morning sunshine,” I stated and he jumped slightly turning quickly to look at me.

“Jen?” he asked groggily. I chuckled a bit turning off the stove and picked up the pills and water and walked it over to him.

“Here these should help,” I offered handing him the pills and water. He slowly took them quickly downing them then looked around.

“Where am I?” he asked rubbing his face tiredly.

“My place,” I stated sitting on the arm rest of the couch. “You got a little carried away and no one else could take you so I brought you here since I don’t exactly know where you live,” I explained.

“My car?” he asked with worry in his eyes.

“Still at the club, I can drive you there after breakfast if you want,” I explained.

“Thank you,” he said with a small smile. I returned it then stood up again.

“Breakfast is ready. You probably don’t feel too good but it’ll make you feel better to get something in your stomach to soak up the alcohol,” I explained.

“You’re probably right, thanks,” he said slowly standing up. “Um bathroom?” he asked curiously. I pointed down the hall and set my small kitchen table with the syrup and juice then finally our plates.

I poured myself a drink and sat down as Joey came out. He plopped down on the chair and yawned tiredly. We ate in silence quietly for awhile till he looked up at me with a troubled look on his face.

“I’m having trouble remembering last night, I didn’t do anything inappropriate did I?” he asked. I smirked a bit feel cruel.

“Oh you mean other than cramming you tongue down my throat, nah nothing bad,” I explained smiling as I took a bit of my food. Joey’s eyes went wide and he turned even more pale than he already was.

“I what?” he asked in shock. I let out a small laugh.

“I’m kidding,“ I laughed harder and his shoulders dropped. I covered my mouth, “Oh my god your face,” I teased and he rolled his eyes with a small chuckle. “No you were actually really funny, you kept telling me how pretty I looked which was rather nice, oh and you kept doing hand stands,” I explained making him laugh a bit more.

“Yea I tend to do that when I’m drunk,” he said ducking his head a bit.

“You’re a rather amusing drunk,” I teased and he smile slightly.

“Sorry you had to put up with that. I’m sure babysitting me was the last thing you wanted to do,” he commented. I shrugged offering him a kind smile.

“It’s what friends do right?” I asked. He nodded his head smiling back before we went back to our food.
