My throat tightened as Max and Lauren started to speak. What was going on? Are they pissed at me about the mash potatoes because I promise I'll dry-clean his shirt if that's the issue.

I'm just an innocent girl who didn't mean to start a food fight!

Damn, I really have to stop rambling to myself.

Gaining my attention Max started to speak even louder but directing the conversation more so to his son than anyone else. "Since Giana's father is such a good friend of mine at work and he knows how you're failing chemistry he offered Giana's help. Especially since finals are right around the corner."

I have such an urge to roll my eyes as those words sink into my brain.

Hell to the freaking no!

I can barely have one civil dinner with him and now they want me to physically be alone with him? No way.

I might literally rip his head off of if nobody else is in the room to stop me.

"No." Liam states firmly clearly annoyed by this entire situation.

I'm glad we're on the same page for once in our lives.

"We're not giving you much of an option, Liam. You need this more than ever. If you don't pass this class, the school clearly said you can't graduate." Lauren admits honestly out in the open trying to ease the idea into her son's brain, and maybe trying to soften the idea into my heart.

"Liam is on verge of flunking high school? I would love to see that." I blurt with a laugh before I could stop myself. My mom looks completely mortified that I would say that and I slap my hand over my mouth as his parents give me a strange look.

"I'm so sorry, I meant that I would never want to see that." I say with a clear of my throat making sure to emphasis the 'never' so I don't look completely awful in there eyes.

Is it cruel that I don't care? Oh well.

"As much as I would love to help and trust me I do — I think his good friend, Camila, would have much more of an impact on his studies than I would." I smirk as my eyes meet his brown ones.

I could see that he was getting all red in embarrassment by this as he held his head between the palms of his hands.

He seemed scarred that I would even bring something like that up to his parents.

Max and Lauren both mirrored an expression of disgust. "Camila as in that one blonde girl who wears heels to the grocery store? No way. . . I do however believe that you can have a very positive effect on, Liam."

Oh. My. Goodness.

Can I please laugh? She looks purely disgusted by the sole idea of Camilla entering her house let alone tutoring Liam.

I think this night is turning more into a comedy show than a tragedy.

"I don't know about that." The two of us just so happen to say in unison.

Liam is Liam and he will never change.

"Awe, look at that Liam, you guys are already seem to be agreeing with each other." Lauren says with s laugh, patting her son's back to mess with him a bit.
