Chapter 12: Ex

"Haha. Marunong ka na gumamit ng 'push mo yan' huh. Sige push mo rin 'yan, and please say hello to Janelle for me!" I heard him shouted when I'm already outside.

JANELLE

It has been a week after the wedding! I still can't believe I'm already married... married to the guy I don't even love!

But that's it, I have no choice right? Urghh how many times did I mention already that I do not have any choice? Another boring morning has come. Naisipan ko na lang maligo agad pagkatapos ko bumangon, may lakad nga pala kami ni Patricia mamaya. While taking a bath, napansin ko 'yung wedding ring sa left ring finger ko. Gosh! Do I really need to wear it? Pagkatapos kong maligo ay nagbihis na ako, nag-ayos at lumabas na ng kwarto ko. I went downstairs. I saw Orion standing there just few steps away from the door way.

"Where are you going?" Tanong niya, napansin niya siguro ang ayos ko.

"Shopping with Patricia!" Sabi ko na proud na proud pa.

He was holding a thick folder then threw it gently on the couch. "You can't go anywhere today. You have to study those things." He pointed the thick folder. My brows automatically furrowed.  Anong trip niya?

"Why would I?" I crossed my arms. Lumakad lang ako papunta sa may direksyon niya hanggang sa nalagpasan ko na siya. He grabbed my wrist "I told you, you're not going anywhere... not until you finished that."

"What?!" I muttered. Nakakairita na siya seryoso! Kinuha niya ang folder sa couch habang hawak niya pa rin ang wrist ko

"I said, you should study these." Binigay niya sa'kin ang folder. "Don't be a stubborn, this is for your own sake. And for your dad's sake."

"W-what are you—"

"Your dad wants you to work at his company."

Teka lang... Wala akong alam sa business, sa fashion ako may degree! "Are you freakin' serious? I know nothing about business!" Wala naman kasi talaga! When I was younger I promised to myself that I would never involve myself to my dad's business! Wala akong alam dito!

"That's why you have to study it. You only have 2 weeks to do that. Understood?"

"Eh paano kung ayoko?" I raised my brow.

"What was my rule number 1 again? Isn't it, you will follow everything I say?" He said. Ngayon gagamitin niya ang pesteng rule na 'yan? "Stop acting like a child. Just do it for your dad." Tapos binitiwan niya na ang braso ko. Natigilan naman ako sa sinabi niya. Do it for my dad? Why is dad doing this to me right now? Ano b'ang kasalanan ko at pinaparusahan ako ng ganito. Alam naman niya na hate ko ang business niya. Pero sige na nga... I don't want to disappoint him. Mahal na mahal ko naman 'yun kahit ganito ugali ko.

Kinuha ko agad ang cellphone ko sa bag na dadalhin ko sana. I called Patricia and told her na i-cancel muna ang lakad namin. Umupo ako sa couch at sinumulan ko na basahin ang mga business etc. Grabe wala talaga ako maintindihan!  CEO, COO, CMO. Bwisit! Ano ba 'tong mga to? Nakakairita na! Meron pang Board of Directors, Shareholders. Urgh! Can I take a break? Dahil mukhang busy naman si Orion dahil hindi pa siya lumalabas sa kwarto niya, tumakas muna ako. Please don't tell him. Pumunta ako sa park ng village namin. Nakakita ako ng isang bakanteng swing kaya agad akong pumunta roon at umupo.

Sobrang daming puno kaya ang sarap ng hangin. I closed my eyes habang nakaupo pa rin sa swing. I feel so relaxed.  Sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam ang hangin sa park na 'to. My eyes were still close when I felt someone was standing in front of me. Darn it... I hope you're not Orion! Hinihintay ko siyang umalis, pero nandoon pa rin siya. I decided to open my eyes, una kong nakita ang sapatos na suot niya. Unti-unti kong inangat ang ulo ko para makita kung sino siya. Shoot! Napatayo ako bigla. Ramdam ko ang paglaki ng mga mata ko dahil sa gulat nang makita ko kung sino ang nasa harapan ko. He was grinning at me.  Shoot. Darn it. This is not happening! This can't be happening!

"How are you?" He spoke, still smiling. I remained silent, words couldn't get out of my mouth. "Congratulations on your wedding. I'm happy for you." Hindi pa rin ako makapagsalita, nakatitig lang ako sa kanya. I don't know what to say. "It's been 3 years?" He spoke again.

"What are you doing here?" There, finally I managed to speak.

"I live few blocks from here."

Sa lahat ng villages, bakit dito pa? "Oh I see. I have to go." Tatalikod na sana ako sa kanya but he grabbed my arm.

"Wait. Janelle can we talk?"

"Talk about what?" I snorted. Bigla na lang nag-iba ang mood ko. Sana pala 'di na lang ako umalis ng bahay para pumunta dito, sana inaral ko na lang ang files na binigay ni Orion. Sana wala ako dito at hindi ko siya kaharap ngayon. Sana hindi ko kaharap si David ngayon. Ang ex ko na hanggang ngayon mahal ko pa rin. Nasa huli talaga ang pagsisisi. I know medyo magulo kasi nung bachelorette party nakita ko siya at gusto ko siya habulin tapos ngayon naiinis ako kasi heto na siya sa harap ko. Well, kahit ako ay hindi ko maintindihan ang sarili ko. Naguguluhan din ako sa nararamdaman ko.

"I just want to know if you're okay now." He said, still smiling. Grabe nakukuha niya pa talaga ngumiti sa harap ko? Gusto ko siya sampalin ng malakas! Ang kapal ng mukha niyang tanungin ako pagkatapos niya akong iwan sa ere.

I faked a laugh. "Haha. Seriously Dave? Can't you see this ring?" I showed him the wedding ring on my finger. "Of course I'm fine, or should I say, better?" I said with my 'I'm-better-off-without-you-tone'.

"I just hope he'll take care of you."

"Of course I'll take care of her." May narinig akong boses na nanggaling sa likod ni David. I was so surprised when Orion appeared behind him. Shoot, I'm dead! Totally dead. Lumapit si Orion sa amin tapos ay tumabi sa akin.

"Hi I'm David, Janelle's ex-boyfriend." He extended his arms but Orion ignored it.

"I think my wife never mentioned your name..." He paused, then acted like he was trying to remember something. "Well yeah she never mentioned anything about you. So I'm sorry." I admit, I do feel happy to hear those words coming from Orion. Para akong nakaganti sa pag-iwan ni David sa akin. This is perfect!

"Ohh... Maybe she's still mad at me. Or maybe she's still in love with me that's why she's trying to avoid putting my name in any conversations you've had." He smirked. Gosh! Nangangamoy gulo. I felt a bad blood between them. I saw Orion's brows furrowed. It's obvious na naaasar na siya kay David.

"I don't think so Mr. whatsoever your name. I'm pretty sure MY WIFE is no longer in love with you. She wouldn't marry me if she loves you." Magkakaroon na nga yata ng away dito sa park na 'to. Hindi ko alam kung paano umawat sa dalawang kapreng nag-aaway— este tao pala. Hindi na rin ako natutuwa sa mga nangyayari.

"Relax. I'm just kidding, mate." David said, smirking.

"I have no time dealing with your pathetic jokes. We're leaving now." Orion grabbed my wrist and almost DRAGGED me out of the park. Masakit huh! Nang medyo malayo na kami sa park ay binitiwan niya na ako. "So what were you doing there? Meeting your ex instead of learning about your father's businesses?"

"Excuse me?" I said raising my brow.

"So you went out to see him? Did you enjoy it?" He said, accusing me.

"What are you talking about? That was the first time I've seen him after 3 years!" I shouted. He didn't say anything.  "You know what? I actually wanted to thank you for doing that. But I changed my mind!" I walked out.

Why do you have to be so narrow-minded? I hate you so much, you  jerk!!
