"This is the last box." Sharna said as she lifted the third box of her's into Val's car.

"Okay, Babe." Val closed the trunk and got in the driver's seat.

"Are you ready to do this?" Val intertwined his fingers with hers.

"I'm ready."

Val pulled out of the parking lot of Sharna's old apartment building, and drove to his house.

His house where Sharna Burgess would now be staying. Staying with her boyfriend.

Val pulled up to his driveway, and grabbed the first box from the trunk. Sharna took the last two, and went inside.

She's seen the house many a times during her lifetime of knowing the Chmerkovskiy family.

She's never seen it from this perspective, though. A perspective of "Hey, this is mine now" instead of a perspective of "I'm here for a social gathering."

It felt different. Good different. Like this is a new, happy chapter of their relationship.

"I'll unpack these boxes, Val, you can go relax for now, you've been driving all day."

"No, Babe, let me help you."

"I got it."

"No, I'm going to help you no matter what."

She couldn't argue.

Val grabbed a kitchen knife and started ripping the tape off the boxes of clothes, pictures she wanted framed in this house, dishes, but one box was empty.

"Shar, why is this box empty?"

"Because..." She hesitated to speak.

"Because is a horrible answer." He pressed a kiss to her head.

She stayed silent, Val decided to drop the subject until she wanted to talk.

"Okay, done." She announced when everything was out of the boxes.

"I'll move everything upstairs." Val said.

"No, Val, I got it." She lifted all the clothes and went upstairs as Val slid the nice dishes into the cabinet.

"Why is that box empty?" He kept wondering.

"I'm back." She came down the steps.

"Hey, Babe."

"I can't believe I finally moved in!" The sparkle in her eye was so prominent.

"I'm very happy you did." He put his arm around her.

The day went on, Sharna got used to living in the new house, and her favorite part was finding all the little hidden gems inside the home.

Like if you open the spice cabinet, there's a smaller compartment that Val apparently keeps salt in, or the fact that the breadbox has two door openings: one for bread, one for things like peanut butter and Nutella.

The little details were her favorite.

Everything was as blissful as she hoped it would be.

She crawled into bed after Val the same night she moved in.

"I love you." She kissed him and laid back down.

"Hey, Shar, why is that box empty?"

"It's a memory box. Every time we have something memorable it goes in the box, then if there's ever a time we fight or start coming apart at each other, we can go to the box and remember the times that were good."

Val was touched by the meaning behind a cardboard box.

"I love you, Sharna May."

"I love you more."

They both fell into a deep sleep, and they both couldn't wait to see what the future held for the couple in this home.
