Kai looked down at his phone as his mother sat a plate of fried chicken, mac-n-cheese, green beans, with a cup of apple juice in front of him. It was his absolute favorite and he couldn't wait to dive in, especially since he hadn't went to get Syrah.
Keeva sat in front of him with her own plate and they both began to eat. "I missed you at dinner yesterday." She said, scooping mac on her fork.
Kai was too busy smacking on some chicken to really notice how hard she was staring at him. "I was out with Stephon."
"Stephon, hm?" She commented lowly.
"Yeah, I can't go out with Stephon?" Kai asked.
Keeva chuckled a little. "I would much rather you go out with a girl-"
"Okay, hold on. What are you even trying to say?" Kai asked, squinting at her.
"I'm not judging." Keeva said, throwing her hands up.
Kai's eyes got wide. "Wooow, are you accusing me of being gay too?" He asked unable to control his laughter and discomfort. "Alright, I'm gonna need you to chill, dead ass."
Keeva started to laugh too, taking a deep breath. "I haven't seen you with a girl since... what was that white girl name?" She quizzed.
Kai smacked his lips before pushing green beans between them. "You never even seen me with her. You saw me telling her ass to stay in the car while dropping stuff off to you." He told her.
