Chapter 60 - Choosing You

"Sigurado ka bang pupunta?" I heard EJ said habang nag mamaneho. I see concern on her eyes right now.

I smile at her and said "Oo naman. There is nothing wrong if will go and meet her future wife, di ba?"

She grabs my hand and squeezes it lightly.

"Thank you that you came that night for me." I see her smiling.

And I am so sure that it is pure and genuine.

"I know it's the best thing to do."

Nakita ko namang tumango ito saka binitawan ang kamay ko.

I just look outside the window. I notice the sky is gray, masyado atang nakikisabay ang panahon sa nararamdaman ko.

Napailing na lang ako habang naka ngiti sa thought na iyon.

It's been two months since the Jillian left the Philippines and here we are in the US to attend her engagement party.

I didn't expect that she will send me an invitation but since she did I decided to come.

"Were here." I look at EJ and she smile at me "Are you ready?" she ask

"I am." I smile in return.

Mabilis naman itong tumango at lumabas ng sasakyan para pag buksan ako.

I feel my heart racing habang nag lalakad kami papasok sa isa pinaka kilalang hotel dito sa New York.

D@mn heart! Stop it! I curse inside my head dahil sa nararamdaman ko. I shouldn't feel this way... hindi dapat ako kinakabahan ng ganito.

"Alam mob a kung paano ko nalaman ang mga favorites mo noon?" I head EJ ask

Umiling ako "Hindi."

"it's because of Jillian." She answered "She told me every single detail about you. Do you know why I asked her instead of Sab?"

Muli ay umiling ako

"Because I want to find answer to the question the bugging me at that time."

"And that is?"

"If she is in love with you." napa tingin naman ako sa kanya " Pag katapos ng lahat ng ginawa niya for me para sayo. I realized na tama ako. Mahal ka niya and I told myself.. oh d@mn.. I gonna lose this game. I was so scared.. pero lumaban pa din ako. Kumapit ako sa maliit na chance na meron ako hanggang sa umamin ako sayo."

"Why are you saying these things to me right now?" tanong ko sa kanya habang patuloy pa din kaming nag lalakad sa magarang hallway ng hotel

Umiling naman ito "Wala lang, I just feel like saying it." We stop and look at the door in front of us "We are here" sabi nito "Are you ready?"

Tumango naman ako pero kasabay nito ang bilis ng tibok ng puso.

After what I had done to her. Hindi ko alam kung paano ko siya haharapin.

Hindi ko alam kung kakayanin kong makita siyang may hawak na iba. But I have to face consequences of actions.

Wala na akong ibang pwedeng magawa kung hindi maging masaya para sa kanya.

"Everything will be alright, Oli. You have to trust me." Saka nito hinawakan ang kamay ko. but she hold my hand as if telling something more.

EJ slowly open the door at ramdam ko ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko.
